I recently picked up an abs v2 box mod and I was just wondering is the Alliance v2 rda ok on it? 0.5 ohms atm.

Yes, it will be fine. The box has a spring loaded 510 pin, so all 510 threaded tanks and RDAs are compatible.
That being said, the box mod is a parallel unregulated box, meaning you have to build coils to the batteries.
Lets say for example, you have 2 Samsung 25R batteries (2500mAh, 20A+). Since it's running the cells in Parallel, it'll increase the CDR Amp limit (realistically giving you 1.5 times the Amps, so about 30A CDR).
So with 30A at 4.2V, that'll allow you to run coils down to about 0.12Ω safely, without overdrawing the batteries.
So yes, your RDA will work fine on that mod, but you have to build coils within your batteries limits.
Get quality batteries from a trusted OEM (Sony, Samsung, LG), make sure not to mix and match cells (get 2 identical cells, and marry them), and don't over-discharge them (you have to monitor the voltage, and charge them before they get too low).
