HELP!!! New vaper! Weird horrible taste.

f0IR2
I just started vaping, and I switched my liquid on my Evod. I tried a Fruit Medley which was amazing! Then Cherry Cola, which was decent, but I tried Strawberry Kiwi, and I release my drag, and I get this weird awful taste. Did I burn out my wicks or something? I'm gonna attach pictures of my e-juice selection, my wicks(at least what I can show of the wicks), my tank, my whole build, and the vapor production. Also! What do I do? Where are good places to get e-juices?

Did you replace the coil? Sorry if I offend you but it sounds like you went through 3 tanks and you didn't say you've tried that yet.

I was reading online that coils last 3-4 weeks. Is it possible that I've fucked mine up already?

My evod coils usually only lasted like 5 or 7 days and then it started having a bad taste. My supervisor keeps vaping for a couple weeks after it starts tasting bad. I asked him how and he said it tastes better than cigarettes.

Ah, that's weird. It does tastes better than ciggs. Thanks! I'm gonna go order some replacement coils right now. I'm kinda disappointed at how e-cigs are really high maintenance. I thought I'd last at least three weeks without an issue like this, but they still are worth it over ciggs.

Eh, once a day add juice, once a week replace coil, every other week buy juice. Beats going to the Gas Station every other day.

If they're stock evod coils, they're silica. Silica can give you a dry hit pretty easily if it doesn't absorb more liquid quickly enough. Take a puff or two without firing (primer puff). Always let your freshly loaded juice sit a bit to soak in.

Eventually, you might find interest in rebuilding, or at least, re-wicking with cotton or rayon. Way more absorbent, fewer dry hits.

And even with silica wicks if you change flavors often without cleaning or replacing the coil the wicks will have a residual flavor from the last one still end them...if you're going to go threw multiple flavors on the same coil try and make sure they are all flavors that would blend nicely together...it can take sometimes multiple fills of a new flavor to finally get rid of the old one if it's a strong flavor like cola or cinnamon. Evods are cheap...if you want to run a bunch of different flavors at the same time get a few different tanks...most of here have done that and now that those coils are considered "old" tech, if they keep you happy you can get several of them for the price of something like one Subtank or Atlantis and run a half a dozen tanks and flavors at the same time and keep your tastebuds happy and since you're not just vaping on one coil all day you will get a few extra days out of each coil from lack of use....just make sure to vape each tank once a day or the wick can get gunked up easier from sitting with a bunch of liquid on it not moving from lack of use.

Happy vaping and cheers! :)
