Help with loose coils on Pharaoh RTA

Hey guys I just got my pharaoh rta in the mail yesterday and I went to put a coil build in but it moves around easily even with the posts completely screwed down. Also when I try to build a parallel coil one of the coils falls through the other and I get a short. Any help?

What are you using in it? It's made mostly for really big singles afaik.
I've never seen smaller stuff used in it.

26 gauge kanthal single coil at the moment. I'd have to buy those bigger coils there's no way I could make them

Anything with a clamp deck is made for builders. I'm not saying you can't run simple stuff in them but it's not really going to shine.

Even with this build at 0.09 the flavor wasn't quite there yet. Maybe if I'd done all SS it would have. Idk.

I'm looking to be around .3 and my parallel coil was reading a .36 so it was right about where I wanted it but it fell through. I guess I'll just keep trying to get it right! The lower the ohms the less voltage it takes to get your desired wattage correct?

Lower ohm load means you'll get ever closer to your mods amp limit. Yeah less voltage but more amperage. This doesn't matter to the batteries though. Only the wattage set on the mod has an effect on the amperage drawn from your cells.
Basically your ohm load doesn't matter at all until you're too low for the mod to fire it. That probably won't be an issue for you.

But I use mechs because that's all that works for the builds I do. My voltage stays the same but as I drop the ohm load I get more amperage and thus more wattage. At 0.09ohm I'm getting 196w. Most regulated mods wouldn't fire it at all.

What are the benefits of going down that low?

That's how I get more power.
Voltage/ohm=amperage
Amperage x voltage =wattage

On regulated mods there are no benefits.

Can anyone link me to some good prebuilt coils like the one in the picture?

I make all the builds in the pictures I post but I'm not selling them right now.

Look up raymo_2_u on Instagram. I think he's still selling.

Goon works well with single wires.

Just read a post in the thread that said something about clamp type RDA's did not work well with single wires?

Nothing says it can't be done. Clamps are just made for wide stuff you can't jam in a little velocity hole.

It's like trying to put 14g wire in a 10g lug. Yeah it'll work but that's not really what it was made for.

I think some of the clamps work better than others with the small wire.

Sometimes they are better. Especially in the case of the Goon or Azeroth.
The problem with the one in question which is the Pharoah is the central screw. There's a bit if play in the whole thing if you don't put something pretty big in it.

Yeah that's what I've noticed. I can wiggle the entire coil around with a small bit of force.

What do you want specifically for your Pharoah?
If it's something simple like a 14ply staple with 28g frames I'll make it (and cheap) but I'm not making another groove fused staggerton anytime soon.

This is just a 16ply with 26g frames. Nothing fancy about it but it works.
