Help with my wismec!

Ive had my wismec rx200s for a while now and never ran into a problem like this one. After I had put a new coil head in, it constantly says " no atomizer found" I thought it was the coil head so I used another new one and still did the same thing.

I took it apart checked for anything wrong, still says same thing. I tried evrything I was told and still says no atomizer found. I gave up and not sure what to do

Thanks

I know you took it apart but have you tried taking a screw driver and pressing firmly down on the 510? They have been known to get stuck on the RX200's.

I actually tried that before a couple of times and still nothing. It's odd because this never happend to me and I'm very careful using and cleaning my mods. My luck

Well hopefully someone will come along and offer some help. The RX200 can certainly be a fickle beast at times.

sounds like the 510 took a dump, or the wire connecting to the 510 broke off, or the build itself (unlikely since you tried 2)
do you have a meter or another mod to test the tanks on?

Ok so this is strange, I've tried 3 v8q4 coils and all of them said no atomizer. So then I tried a coil I never used before the v8t8. Once I put it on it worked like a charm. Fired up and evrything. Very weird cause I've been using q4 coils for awhile and never had this happen

still sounds like an issue with the mod. I would see if you can get it warrantied or something. Do you have a backup mod?

Yep, the 510 pins Joytech (parent company of Wismec) are shit. You need to be careful not to overtighten or you'll bork the 510 pin.

try out those builds on the other mods and see if they fire. If they do then it's a mod issue for sure. the wismec stuff (and joyetech stuff) tend to have a lot of issues.

On my DNA200 Realeaux I actually sent it of to a guy who replaced the deck with VT 2 deck, the insulator and replaced the 18g wire with 16g. She hits much better, Mod doesn't heat up like she did before and 510 pin is wonderful, cost me $50 including shipping. He does beautiful work and was an excellent investment, but that's for the DNA. My RX it's not really worth it, I'm just uber careful about screwing down the devices

yeah i heard about the guy on facebook that fixes them up. I think it's pretty shitty though on a 200 dollar device that you need to fix it out of the box. It's a little more understandable on an RX since it's a 40 dollar device. but the DNA should have been built much better.

Wholesale the DNA200 chip is a tad over $80, so you see where a large amount of the cost goes. But yes I agree somewhat about the 510 pin, to the point Joytech just needs to stop putting in shitty 510 pins.

it's much cheaper then that. me as a regular person could buy 1 for 80 bucks. they sell them for 65 dollars if you order 10 or more. I'm sure wismec had a bulk discount since they worked directly with evolve on the DNA version of the RX. I'd be shocked if they paid more then 50 per board. I ordered 2 VT133s which also have a DNA board for a combined 170 bucks so 85 dollars each. I just ordered a DNA250 mod (finder 167) for 104 dollars total. There was plenty of profit room for wismec to spend and extra 80 cents per mod for better wiring and a better 510 pin IMO

Oh don't get me wrong for I totally agree. 18g wiring and the shitty Joytech 510 pin is pretty lame.

Yet it's probably the best selling device (the RX not the DNA one) which goes to show how little information is easily available to people.

Not to mention they said the RX2/3 does balanced charging but it doesn't

To me it sounds like the pin on the tank is not making contact inside the mod 510 connector...
I had the same thing happen with both these mods.. I knew it wasn't a short as it would say short in the display..I took my tanks apart and found I hadn't screwed the coil down all the way in the base..lol
I felt like a idiot when I tightened them up almost with a full turn because they worked perfect after that ... :)
