Help with T.C on IPV5 + Herakles Plus

I have used a kanger kbox subohm forever but decided to upgrade recently. I bought an IPV5 and a herakles plus tank.

So far the kanthal coils are awesome, but the tank came with a 0.2 316L coil I decided to try. I dont know what the hell I am doing. I've set the IPV5 to manual TCR since there is no option for SS 316L, I read that 316L should be set to about 87 in manual TCR so thats what i've done.

The taste isnt great and my vapor production is low. I set it to 425F and have 0 clue what the joules is about but I have it set to 70.

Anyhow, I'd like to know, is my TCR correct for SS 316L, should I be locking my resistance while using T.C (I assume so and i've done that) also what is the deal with joules? Doesnt the vape just heat the wire to 425F and keep it there, if so why would I want to change the joule output?

You do not need to use TC mode for 316SS.
You can just run it in variable wattage mode.
But if you want to run it in TC I would suggest you set the mod to 460 degrees leave the joules on 70 and change the TCR upward in incriminates of 5 until to hit the spot that you get the best performance
I have seen the 316SS TCR set on mods from 80 all the way up to 150.
