So I have just purchased a vaporesso nebula along with smok baby beast tank, worked great for an hour or so, now the resistance reading is 0.07 ohm. Have tried with 3 different coils (0.4, 0.2, 0.15) and get same result. Aby help would be greatly appreciated as this is my first regulated mod and hoping it isnt ruined/faulty. Cheers :)

if you tried 3 coils and they all are reading bad, it might be your mod. any other tanks you can try on the mod? did u make sure the coils are tightened all the way down?

I only have the one tank unfortunately, yeah I have tightened them finger tight as much as I can. So you think the mod could be faulty?

sounds like it to me. do you have another mod or a meter where you can check the tank?
vapresso isn't exactly known for stellar mods. any reason you picked in in particular? If it's new maybe you can exchange it?

No only this mod as this was my first kit, I chose it because I liked the look of it, and it had good reviews from what I saw. Not the best start to vaping :/ ill have to try contact the shop I purchased from and see about getting it exchanged.thanks for the help :)

yeah see if you can exchange it out. sadly reviewers suck nowadays. they say everything is great so they can keep getting free shit. they don't want to "bite the hand that feeds them". What kind of mod are you looking for. i can make some recommendations. If you are in the US I'd suggest getting a refund and ordering online. it'll be cheaper

Well, I also purchased 2x 26650 batteries with the nebula, so if theres a similar sized mod that uses those batteries that would help :p I likely won't be able to exchange/refund until after xmas as I live in new zealand, and while the shop I used was new zealand based it is online only and the courier they use is closing for a few days. But any recommendations of a solid reliable mod would be awesome

new Zealand? IDK who would ship to you to be honest. where do you usually buy from. i know that the slice is on sale for 30 bucks at vaporcube. single 26650 mod and it's an amazing one but I don't know if they would ship. if you have a price/sites you can buy from i can look around for a good mod with a good deal that takes a single 26650 battery.

also what battery did you pick?

here is a video on the slice and a video for battery

well you got lucky with that. it's the best 26650 battery on the market. 30amps and 4200mah. great battery.
unfortunately i don't see a site to browse their products so i can't really tell you what are good options as I don't know their stock

well sadly your limited by the stock (and dam it's expensive for you guys) but the only other options are the pico mega (which is a nice starter mod but can only fit 22mm tanks on it) or the Lux (which is a great mod that can fit any tank including 30mm with no overhang) but is really expensive. Have you ever tried to order form a china site? do they ship to you guys?

The pricing on that site is in new zealand dollars so would have been about $60-65 I paid for the nebula, what is the price in the us? And I havnt checked a chinese site, any you can reccomend?

gearbest is probably my favorite. also fasttech, 3fvape, ellegomall, and efun.top
most will take 2-3 weeks to get your stuff though. not sure if you are ok with that. 60-65 isn't bad for that mod at all actually. gear best has it for 55USD single 26650's are rare though. the slice is the best but IDK where you can get one from. or how much shipping would be. the lux is good but it takes 2 batteries and is a large mod. It's hard for me to gauge though because shipping and exchange rate.

@Paratech @mjag @Deucesjack any recommendations for a single 26650 mod?

Slice! It's the only 26650 I use. Stout is nice too.

Pico mega could be the way to go, its in stock where I purchased the nebula from so may be able to exchange if they find it is faulty. My tank is 22mm as well so should fit fine. What is the stout?

yeah the mega will fit your tank but it won't fit larger tanks as the battery blocks it. it's a well known tried and true starter mod. very few issues with the pico. everyone loves them. the baby beast is a great tank as well. it's a very good 1st set up for you

I still love my Stout, the only bad thing is that 22mm tanks are the only thing that looks good on it. The Nebula has been pretty solid so far and takes 25mm tanks with no overhang, you can fit 30mm tanks too, got overhang though.

Too bad he can't get a Slice, performance wise it is the best. I like my VT75 but if you don't build at 0.35 or higher the battery life sucks, it doesn't perform well with lower ohms.

If I had to pick between the Stout, VT75 and Nebula then the Nebula would win out as it checks off more boxes than the other 2.

Oh, I didn't know the op already had a Nebula...duh, that's what I get for not reading more than the last 2 posts.

Have you tried doing a firmware update on the Nebula?

If you have mostly 22mm tanks the Vapor Flask Stout has worked perfectly for me since the day it was released. I love that mod and have used it everyday since I got it.

Hcigar VT75 uses a single 26650 or a single 18650 with the provided adapter.
The one I have works pretty well.
That and the Hohm Slice are the only two 26650 mods I have unless you jump up to the Ijoy LUX.
Not very small but looks awesome with a 30mm tank on it.

Some food for thought:

Maybe the 510 connection on the Nebula is deep and the baby beast isn't
making proper contact. Unfortunately, from the pics I've seen, I don't think
the baby beast has a screw driver adjustable 510 connector.

"Could" be that that the baby beast's 510 connector is just too short and
the Nebula mod isn't the problem. :wait:

Smok tanks in general have a deep 510. The baby beast as well

You could be on the right track but in 180°
Smok is known for their longer 510 pics.
Remember the whole issue with the Wismec / TFV4/TFV8 warranty issue where Wismec refused to cover their mod unless you used their tank but definitely NOT the Smok tank?

And you are correct, the baby beast definitely has a flat 510.

Still in wake up mode.

Recalled the Wismec issue after I had clicked "post reply" and SirRichardRear's reply appeared. :gaah:

Just popped the Baby Beast on my Nebula and so far so good. I will keep it on there to see if I develop a problem.

Point taken!

Just throwing my 2 cents in.
It was a great point! Sometimes it's the simplest things. Always a good idea to throw everything out there and see what sticks

Thanks for the input everyone, have emailed the shop it came from with a video showing the fault, even after confirming "new load". Will likely have to send backback to them for testing. Good to know someone has the baby beast on a nebula working, and its not just me doing something wrong haha

No I actually think you may indeed have been headed in the right path, just in reverse.
It was a good point that I wasn't thinking about.

So I got an email back from vaporesso support today:

Dear Madison,

This is the normal design that the resistance is a smart control by itself which means it will automaticlly set and you don't need to manual set.

Thanks.

Dont think ill buy a vaporesso product again.
