I'm beginning to have stranggge issues with my istick 30w. I've had this mod for a while now, and it's the only one I use. I like it allot! But lately not so much... It's been doing this weird thing where after I take a hit it automatically adjust my wattage wayyy down. Also says protection all the time until I lower the watts just slightly, than it's fine for awhile, than same thing again. Also sometimes I'll take a hit, release the fire button, then it'll keep firing on its own! That's the part that's scary lol and it does it until I completely untwist the tank. Any help or similar experience would be appreciated! Btw I only use factory pre made coils, and have tried multiple ones, switching them didn't make a difference, also this is an authentic istick not a clone, same with tank and could all is legit and had worked perfect forever until about a week ago. I'm afraid it's on its way to dying and I do not have the funds to purchase a new mod atm. Any help is better than no help lol thanks everybody!!

I hate to be the bringer of doom, but It sounds like it may be on its way to the great beyond
The connection isse could be the 510 getting stuck in the depressed positing or the 510 on the coil not making contact with the 510 in the base of the tank, or the 510 of the tank itself shorting.
The wattage changing could be dirt causing the 'down' button to engage.

Best I can think of is completely disassemble everything, check all connections and a thorough cleaning, make sure all connection point are very clean and working properly, also the button areas.

If that doesn't solve the issue, it may be time to consider a replacement device. It sounds like its served you well, but I'm not sure the istick was meant as a very long term mod. If you've gotten 6 months out of it, I would definitely call that a win!

Idk, I'm very good about keeping it clean and take extremely good care of it, in high hopes that would prevent this kind of thing lol. Idk anything about taking them apart and all that, you think that's something my vape shop would do? I bought the device from there and am I loyal customer and there also all very chill. And that's what I was afraid of hearing... I have this bad feeling it's going to quit on me soon with all these glitches going on :/

The nature of that mod is that it wasn't meant to last forever, its built as a beginner to intermediate device. Hence the battery design.
Dont get me wrong they are fantastic mods just not meant to last longer than 6mo. To a year.
The good news is there are some very good deals and inexpensive replacements out there. I just saw the evic mini om sale for 28$
