Help!

Hell everyone, I currently have the smok M80 plus box mod. With that, I have the Aspire atlantis tank. I just recently purchased a .3 ohms coil so I could use the 70-80 watts my mod can produce. Side note, I use wattage mode btw. Before I put my new coil on, I completely cleaned my tank, including the air flow area. After that I put my new .3 coill on. I primed it 4-5 times and let it sit with "High Density Watermelon" flavor juice. After about 10 minutes I gave it a couple hits at 60 watts and it tasted horrible! So, I decided to let it sit overnight. Today I went to hit at 55 watts and I blew a huge cloud, but still horrible taste. I bumped it to 68 watts and still big cloud, but horrible taste. I am so confused if someone could help me that would be very helpful.

Thanks

Not because it says 60-80 watts ur gonna hit it 60 watts....
Ok when you say u primed it? Did you juice the coil before u put it in the tank???
Or u put the coil then put juice then let it sit?

Theres a lot of negative reviews about these coils...if it taste like burnt then the coil is burnt... I suggest
Get a new coil,SATURATE THE COIL before putting it in the TANK, make sure it's fully fully saturated, then put in the tank, put juice, let it sit
Close airflow, make a quick pull few times then start with 30 watts work ur way up...

To add cotton does have a taste initially, it'll go away after a while. Different types of cotton are different, but in general the cotton I use it takes a good 2ml+ to get rid of the flavor completely. Likewise the metal for the coils has a flavor again that goes away with time, and if there is any junk on the coil it may take even longer.

Basically you gotta give it some time.

I like to blow out the first bit of juice in the coil, I realize this may be throwing away dollars if you use premium juice, but consider getting either just some strait PG/VG or a similar cheaper flavor and using that to work the coil in then swapping to the good stuff.

Rest of the comments in here are right though, make sure to fully saturate the cotton. A few drops won't do it, just keep rotating the coilhead dripping around the top part, then on the sides where the juiceflow is, then back to the top, and keep going until it doesn't soak in. You may end up with a little juice on your fingers but trust that it's worth it. The coil is the heating element, when there's juice around that heat quickly travels into the juice cooling the coil down and keeping it from getting overly hot, if it does get overly hot then it burns the cotton, burning the cotton leads to that bad taste and having to replace the coilhead more often. So in essence just make sure there's always enough juice in there to handle the heat you're putting out. It's worth the couple minutes.
