I searched and did not find a thread about removing the airflow control ring on the Herakles sub tank. Hopefully the images come through. I am not much for making videos, but basically look up a video for the Atlantis AFC removal, it is almost exactly the same thing. I will most likely drill out the two round air holes larger for even more air flow. I also managed to save the retaining pin and spring along with the AFC, just incase I decide to change it back in the future.
As you can see, I used pliers to grip the top ring of the base, which left some scratches and some rough spots on the edge. Nothing that a small file wont fix. I probably could have taken more time and not scratched it up, there is always next time.
