I have an Eleaf 100w TC. Love that thing. When I've got ni200 coils in my Crown tank, it runs beautifully. However, when I tried out a 316L SS coil in temp mode (in SS mode of course) it first kicked it back to wattage mode, and then when I got it to stay in ss TC mode, at the lowest setting, it produced extremely hot vapor.

Any ideas????

Try setting the manual TCR to 92 and see what you get. If it seems weak at 92 bring it up until its where you want it.

Changed the TCR to 92. Fires, and seems to be running like it normally does in TC mode. Thank you so much!!! I'll post back if I have any issues, as I'm going to put 90% VG through it tomorrow to test how well it works.

Okay, so it was working alright last night, haven't put the thick juice through it yet, but I'm sure it's working in TC mode. Now, my problem is that it won't stay in the TCR mode I set. It keeps kicking it back into wattage mode. Any ideas?

That's seems weird because I run my Herk + in temp mode with the SS preset setting on the evic mini and it runs like a champ. I thought they used the same chip?

Cuboid and Herk+, 0.2 316SS also got insanely hot in TC, but didn't kick out to power mode. Have been using in power mode at 65w since, no issues. Not sure if coil or mods are the problem here.

One thought, did Sense mislabel some coils?

Nope, it's definitely working better in TC now. They are definitely 316L's. I set the TCR to 88 as the range for these seems to be 88-95. Still kicks into VW mode once in a while but a quick on and off fixes it for me. I just think the SS TC tech isn't quite as good as ni200 reliability wise. But the flavor? A million and one times better.

I have had the same issue with my Griffin on my VTC mini once in a while. I have found that if I loosen the tank and then tighten it back down it will behave.

I've switched my TCR to 128 for the herk plus. This sounds like a connectivity problem though. Double check the bottom of the coil, both inside and outside of the power pin (use an eraser then blow it out), and do the same on your mod.

When it kicks you to wattage, it's because the resistance is moving to much or to little to read at that setting.

Hope this helps
