Welcome to our new Photo Mode format where we ask the community (and our staff) to round up some of the best screenshots you've got. This week's subject: the most heroic screenshots. We're looking for shots of you triumphant on top of a pile of your enemies' corpses, rescuing an NPC, or striking your best pose after a well-fought battle. Think outside the box and bring your A-game to impress others in the IGN community.
Photo Mode is the most recent of our new community formats to help us engage more with you all and make your voices -- and screenshot artistry! -- heard. We've noticed many of you have enjoyed our roundup of the Comments of the Week rewarding users for being insightful or humorous, and our Let's Talk About... format where we come together to share personal gaming stories or rankings on various prompts. Photo Mode is the next logical step on our journey of adding more ways for our readers to engage with us and one another.
Photo Mode
Starting this week, we're asking IGN readers to share their best or favorite screenshots from the games they are playing based on various themes. We are extremely excited to have a new way to highlight the talents of our community. To submit your photo for each theme, all you have to do is attach your photo to your comment in the article.
Though not required, feel free to share your best captions, stories of how you set up the shot, or explanations of what you were aiming for with your submission. Photos will initially be set as pending for review, but the team will approve them shortly for everyone to see. Along with the announcement for each Photo Mode theme, we will also share top-voted images by fans and staff. We look forward to seeing which of our readers have an eye for photography (screenshotography?) in their favorite games.
Our Inaugural theme for Photo Mode is: Heroes
Interpret the theme in any way you prefer or take it literally and send in your pictures of superheroes like Spider-Man or Batman. Express your creativity by sending us your best photo of you accomplishing something heroic or overcoming a great challenge befitting of a hero. Here are a few IGN staff examples as inspiration to give you an idea of what we're looking for.

Deadline: 10 am Pacific Monday, May 30th
