HIC's Clone of Apache recipe: This is a perfect flavor match for White Cloud's Fling disposable 'Apache' tobacco flavor.

2-2.5% Tobacco Express L & B Flavor (click for link)
use maximum PG to avoid the sweetness of VG
slightly harsh tobacco base is recommended for the best match to White Cloud's version
for mild tobacco base, use 2.5% flavoring; for spicy nic, use 2% flavoring
an overnight steep is sufficient

White Cloud describes Apache as a "strong, bold flavor," and I agree. Though I never smoked a pipe, I'd describe this as smelling and tasting like moist pipe tobacco.

L & B flavor is described by ECX as a kretek cigarette tobacco flavor with "earthy, sweet cloves." I got this hoping for a clove cigarette flavor - but it's not that at all, in my opinion. I instantly recognized the scent from my old disposables brand. I still have a bunch of those Apache disposables, and this L & B stands up to side-by-side vape comparison.

I believe this L & B is a Chinese flavoring with ECX's own (re)name. So, while this might be available under other names elsewhere, I don't know where.

Whether you call this a bold cigarette, pipe tobacco, or kretek - any White Cloud fan will agree this an excellent flavor match.

I was digging through the recipe pages and I noticed this rather old post as posts go and notice you were at one time looking for a clove cigarette flavor. I was wondering, in all your trials of tobaccos and spices, if you ever spent any time working on recreating what can only be called an authentic clove cigarette juice.

I was partial to the following:

I have tried only TFA clove and it is strong and not at all the crisp clove taste that defined these wonderfully fragrant cigarettes.

I have not experimented much with tobaccos since I quit smoking but I always enjoyed a good clove cigarette when they were available...with exception to Djarum...NEVER cared for them. That being said I can thank the government and big tobacco for banning "flavored" cigarettes from the USA and probably preventing me from punching holes in my lungs from these delicious albeit deadly sticks of flavored addiction.

If you have any pointers to a decent tobacco/clove blend I would be very grateful. Just hoping for some place to start not being at all familiar with tobacco e-juice flavors.

I believe it's the same flavor that other sites call DJRum, but don't let that name dissuade you, either. I can vape that Black Label on its own or use it to turn any tobacco blend into a clove cigarette. There is nothing I could do to TFA Clove or FA Clove to get similar flavor. @Daintanee is another clove fan who I think has tried it. I hope she'll add her opinion for you.

Thanks HIC for the fast response. I will give it a shot. I would agree that TFA Clove is either weak low percentage or suddenly too strong at higher percentages...no real wiggle room in my opinion and it carries a "candy-ish" flavor. Look forward to any other contributions or advice from others as well!
