So I pulled out my old plume veil today. Was going to throw it on my mod. Its been months since i used it so i tested it on my ohm reader to see the ohms. It bounced around between 4-5 ohms. Never have I vaped that high. So I dicked around tightend everything, nothing. Ok no biggy. Wrapped up some 22g 7 wraps and threw them on. Same thing. Bouncin around real high, checked all my screws including my 510 pin. Nothing. It occasioanlly hits infinity as well

Sounds like that coil has outlived its usefulness. Just make a new one.

Definitely a short somewhere. You have to keep looking. Something is loose for sure.

is your ohm meter need a new battery? I know this happens to me when I have an atty and the 510 connection is short and I'm not ble to get it to seat all the way down into the ohm meter.sometimes I have to adjust the pin down to get a true reading.

I just meant if an atty is in question at all it's best to take it completely apart. Look in the post holes for scraps of clipped coil wire, remove the 510 pin and inspect, use brasso for brass and ketchup for copper to remove tarnish, etc. A thorough and proper disassembly, cleaning and inspection. The smallest detail can affect current flow. Some folks inspect things like a pos pin by looking at it installed. It needs to be removed to be properly inspected. You can't inspect a connection you can't see. I was just making the point to go the full distance with the tear down and inspection so nothing is missed.
