Horizon Zero Dawn Gets 4K, 60 FPS Update for PS5

Horizon Zero Dawn just received a surprise 60 FPS update on PlayStation 5 that ups the performance of Guerrilla Games' adventure game on Sony's next-gen console.


During Opening Night Live, Guerrilla announced that the 60 FPS update is live now on PlayStation 5. Download the update now and play Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition with a boosted performance. The update also brings 4K checkerboard resolution to PS5 players.

The update went live prior to the announcement on Opening Night Live, meaning eagle-eyed fans were able to download the update and potentially start playing in the new frame rate already.


Guerrilla Games also announced a release date for the sequel Horizon Forbidden West, which is now coming on February 18, 2022.
