Hi all,

I've been a long time lurker here on VU, and DIYer for around 4 years. That means I probably have more diketones in me that a Chinese buttery popcorn factory. Regardless, the day I found this forum, my DIY upped its game into new territories. No longer am I throwing 25% TFA flavourings in my tank and hoping for the best.

Cutting to the chase.... thanks to all of you who've filled this forum with content, and a personal thanks to Headinclouds for completely changing the way I look at DIY .

Anyway, inspired by HIC's style of mixing, here's my Hot Chocolate Orange.

I was aiming for the taste of eating a Terry's Chocolate Orange, while washing it down with a hot chocolate with one or two marshmallows in. Here's what I got:

1% FA Orange
0.5% FA Mandarin
0.25% FA Bergamot
1.5% FA Cocoa
1.5% FA Chocolate
1% FA Marshmallow
1% FA Vienna Cream
0.5% FA Meringue
0.5% Acetyl Pyrazine

Shake and vape, because I don't have the patience to steep!

Personally, I think it's pretty damn close to what I was going for. If anyone has any pointers or improvements, please feel free to voice them here. I'd love to improve!

Thanks, and I hope someone enjoys it!

I will be trying it out without the Bergamot, because, sadly, I don't have it yet. Can you think of anything that would come close to subbing for it, or should I just skip it? This looks scrumptious, at any rate! Thanks :)

You could probably skip the bergamot in fairness. It's a faint orange flavour, and at 0.25% I can't be sure how much it is actually contributing and how much is in my head.

Officially on the mix list (minus the Bergamot as well)! Thanks for posting and keep 'em coming! :)

Bergamot makes Orange special, you guys should get some of that.
And it makes me think of orange liqueur, which makes me think of brandy, which I'd put in place of Meringue just to please myself.
That looks good, @Heng !

I don't have Brandy, either, but I do have FA Rum... another option that might go well with the chocolate & orange, maybe subbed for marshmallow since they are both so sweet

DAMMIT HIC!!! I convince myself that it's "ok" to be short a flavor and then you have to post this. Ok...ok...ok...Bergamot it is...LOL
