How do calculators work?

I'm not sure because I've never used one before, how do the ratios work?
Let me explain myself further.
Example how do I know if my mixture will contain too much of something because it seems you can customize of how much nicotine you can have in there and there isn't a limit long as you are within your ml range, what if it isn't safe to use certain strength my point is how do you use the calculator, is there any way it will inform you if your mix isn't right? is there such thing as a right mix? I mean I know the mixture percentage of pg/vg because it makes no difference as it's down to preference + not toxic but what about the nicotine. will it notify me if it's too much?

OK, after looking at the calculator, it doesn't offer much by way of customization. There are more calculators available that would be much easier to use, that allow you to add as many flavors as you like. Near the bottom of the page, it does offer directions for use, but just my opinion, others would be much easier for you to customize everything to your liking.

As to your nic level question, what strength do you normally vape?

There are plenty of apps for your phone to use, for a juice calculator.

I prefer this, as I do not mix near my computer or laptop. I suppose I could use my tablet, but my phone is just SO easy.

I don't vape, I want to do this for the first time, I'm not trolling or anything, however my cigarettes are currently labeled as 0,6mg, not sure if per cig or pack of 20, and that's perfect for me as I've tried other cigs and didn't suit me.

Many of us that started vaping a few years back, didn't have the best equipment, not compared to what's available now. At that time, I started at 18mg, but with what's out these days, many vapers start at 12mg, or even less. Some need higher, it just varies.

You could always mix with NO nic.

Yes, as @Huckleberried said, it really depends on the atomizer you use, and how much you smoke, as to kinda where your nicotine level needs to be.

If you are not a regular smoker, as have quit, you don't have to add nic. But if you don't smoke, but want to use nic (assuming you are of legal age), then start low.

Flavors really aren't all that expensive. It is if you order A LOT of them. But I spend a few hundred a year on flavoring. Big deal, you know?

I vape 30 mils a day. 30 mils times 7 days is 210 mils a week. If I had to buy it at 30 mils for 10-20 bucks? That's 70-140 bucks a week for juice. I don't care if I have to spend a thousand a year for my supplies, it's still a drop in the bucket compared to buying finished juice.

Flavorings will last quite a long time, really. The kind we use are very concentrated, so you generally don't need to use much. Pre-made juice is very pricey. Maybe take some time to read around here a bit, look for some of the threads in this section, where someone is just starting out. There's a LOT of great information here, regarding working with nic, other calculators, flavorings that people seem to really enjoy, too.
