ive actually thought about this when i plugged in my vape to the computer

Really not feasible at all IMO, not only would the manufacturer have to be 100% complicit in the venture, the added cost of redesigning a board to put a data chip inside would make it impractical for little to no guaranteed monetary incentive.

That's not to say more advanced devices like the G2 etc couldn't be used for it but again, for a manufacturer to risk involvement is extremely unlikely.

If it did happen it would almost certainly come from a re-flashed device bought second-hand.
