How to build Triple+ Core Fused Claptons

OK so i've very much mastered claptons and fused claptons but as of recent I've been trying to do fused claptons with 3 cores instead of two and I keep running into the problem of the three cores bunching up into a triangle shape as opposed to the desired outcome of all three cores staying flat. I haven't tried anything with more than 3 cores but I would imagine the same problem would occur. Is there a trick to keeping the three cores flat? I've tried taping them with masking tape at the ends, using the swivel method and pulling them tight but they always start to bunch up after I have claptoned the first inch or two.

twist one end of the three, flatten them out so they run parallel, use a ball bearing swivel and tape to secure them. light pressure and slow speed.
