How to get rid of scratches on snow wolf 1.5?

I clean it all the time because it's a fingerprint magnet, but there's scratches around the 510 connector. I don't want to put a washer underneath it because I want my tank to sit completely flush. Is there anything I can buy to get rid of the scratches? They drive me nuts.
Thank you! :)

I read using a soft bristled tooth brush with whitening toothpaste will get rid of scratches. I will try it today and post an update

The scratches are so minor they just drive me crazy. Whatever atomizer I put on it, it covers it up, but I take very very good care of my mods. Any little flaw, irritates the shit out of me. All I want to do is to get these stupid scratches off without buying a whole new mod. I've grown this attachment to it and I can't put it aside for a new one. This was my first high wattage box mod and I want to love it and keep it as long as I can.

I use a Brass Bristled Brush and stroke in the same direction the brushing is in, if you do it light enough and enough time you will have that finish once again. It takes a shit ton of time though and its easier to wetsand and polish it..

I hear you. It's hands down my favorite mod of all time. My first pretty much stays at home in a silicone sleeve and the used one I got came with some ware and a few scratches so I'm fine bringing it out with me. One possibility is mothers mag polish. I've used it on a few of my stainless steel revolvers but I'm not sure how it would work on the snow wolf.

Oh shit Ray I didn't see your post. Any insight on the mothers mag?

I've had a case on it since I got it, but there's no way around where my atomizer sits. I don't care how long it takes, I spent at least 3 hours looking up how to get rid of these scratches. I tried everything. toothpaste, vinegar, vegetable oil and I feel like I just wasted my time. I am absolutely desperate and if I have to refinish it, I will

It polishes but wont leave the lines like a brush will, I use Never Dull on the outsides of mods, cleans everything up and then I Dawn and Rinse them after.

Simple answer is to just leave an atomizer on it. Out of sight out of mind. Honestly, scratches around the 510 connector really isn't a big deal. Hell I've never covered a mod with a protector in my life. I try to keep them nice, but if they get a scratch they get a scratch (adds character). As long as the work the way they are supposed to, isn't that what really matters. In the end I guess I'm saying don't sweat the small stuff. You will live longer ;)

Cheers,
Steve

Of those items... only the toothpaste ( if it's the paste type ... whitening types, unless they also have polish in them, won't help ) can polish and then it's only good for a final polish and not well suited to getting out deeper scratches which require courser compounds.

Start with courser types of compounds... if the scratches are light... a buffing compound may be enough ( like for cars )... If they are heavier scratches, you'll want something a little courser first, then the buffing compound and finally a polishing compound. If it's a brushed finish, skip the polishing compound step and use whatever you plan to give it a brushed look with.

Whiteners, vinegar, bleaches and other chemicals will not help with getting rid of scratches... they have other uses. Oils are only used to help condition or protect ( against corrosion or rust )... An oil may be used with a compound to polish but they do nothing themselves other than help lubricate the working surface. Most of the time, just water is used as the lubricant.

I'm with some of the others thinking you may be worried about this for nothing... With cars, a "garage queen" is kept in perfect order to be looked at and admired but an everyday driver is only kept in good working order without as much concern about the aesthetics. Is your mod for show... or do you plan to use it often. If the latter, then don't think of it as a "garage queen" also worrying about minor details.

I want it to look brand new for me, it makes me feel better because I take such pride in how beautiful it is. I want to keep it in like new condition especially because it's my first high wattage box mod. It makes me proud knowing that I gave up cigarettes/ analogs for something so pretty.
