The movement to [HASH=1807]#EndSARS[/HASH] in Nigeria has been amplified following protests to end the police brutality by SARS – the country's Special Anti-Robbery Squad. The protests recently turned violent by SARS officers with Amnesty International confirming on Twitter that they have, "received credible but disturbing evidence of excessive use of force" against protestors. According to The New York Times, SARS was originally created in 1984 in response to violent crimes in Nigeria, however, the organization evolved into a corrupt unit in the early nineties.
