36 years after Top Gun first hit theaters, Tom Cruise is back as beloved fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Despite sky-high expectations, it appears the sequel is well worth the wait: Top Gun: Maverick holds a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, while IGN’s review called it “an out-of-bounds blast of afterburner fumes and thrillseeker highs that's sure to please audiences looking for a classic summer blockbuster.”

Following an early access showing on May 24, Top Gun: Maverick will be available in most theaters across the U.S. with a release date of May 27, and many areas already have showtimes announced. To find when and where you can watch the film, you can check the local showtimes at the links below:
Top Gun: Maverick is not currently available to stream online, and Paramount Pictures has yet to announce official streaming details. However, seeing as it’s a Paramount film, we can expect Top Gun: Maverick to eventually make its streaming debut on Paramount Plus rather than Netflix or HBO Max.
Paramount has been fairly consistent in adding its movies to Paramount Plus 45 days after their theatrical debuts, which would put Top Gun: Maverick’s potential streaming date around July 11.
