And after following that link, I have to sign in again even though I hit 'stay logged in'.

Once I closed it, I never saw it again. Have you logged out, cleared cache and all that fun stuff, sign back on "stay logged in", and see if it's still there? Last ditch resort, refresh. That actually worked for someone, LOL.

Closing it off does actually work. But clearing the cache and all that fun stuff will actually put it back up. At least for me!!
Just close it off and do nothing else.
