Hugo Vapor Boxer V2.0 188W TC VW - with SMOK Baby Beast RBA vs standard coil

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to vaping so I'm discovering everything.

Recently, I bought a Hugo Vapor Boxer Mod with and exchanged my standard coils for an RBA coil head on my Baby Beast. I'm getting issues with a "no atomizer error". My firing also lags quite a lot. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it lags, sometimes there is no atomizer and no firing. I get the same problem when I put the tank on my old iStick Pico 70w.

When I try to compare with the Baby Beast set up with a standard coil instead of my RBA, the issue is gone. So I think it must be the tank and not the mod.

I see a difference in the 510 pin when both the RBA and standard coil are installed. When the RBA is installed the 510 pin disc sticks out way more. I guess this must be causing the problem... (when installed on my mod, the RBA setup is not sitting flush, there is a small gap between the mod and tank).

So I figured out that I might just buy a new rebuildable tank that works better and use the Baby Beast with standard coils (unless somebody knows a solution?).

On the picture below I found some specs about my tank with the different setups ( I got this from this: site http://www.djlsbvapes.com/510-connectors-length/ )

What should I be looking at for my next tank? Length of the negative treads, length of the postive contact, or the difference? Or is a screw-on test and checking if sits flush enough? Because maybe these statistics may be not relevant at all?

All the best!

sounds like an issue with your build on the RBA deck

Somebody at the vapor shop had a quick look at it. He told me the build looks fine at first sight...

Anyone else with an opinion/thought?

2 things. most people at vape shops arne't very informed or good. and 2nd how about showing pics here. sometimes a build could look good but still not be good. If your building you should have a meter. throw it on the meter thats the best way to tell. if the meter says good, then it could be the mod

510s are pretty universal. any tank will work in any mod pretty much. I wouldn't worry about 510 length. worse case a heatsink or just using an oring will fix a 510 thats too long for the mod,
