Humans: "Episode 3" Review

(Sorry for the lateness. Comic-Con delay, doncha know. I'll keep this brief.)

At the end of last week's episode, it seemed like Anita's stay with the Hawkins family had come to an end. Fortunately, "Episode 3" immediately squashed that and put her back in the household, now with Laura questioning her own original suspicions of malfunction.

We didn't dig much deeper into the larger mythology at play regarding the five sentient Synths this week (just that they were created by a Dr. David Elster - who gave Niska a philosophical psychology book called "Ghost in the Machine"). Especially since Anita did return back to the mostly-loving Hawkins clan. But I was totally fine with that because the Anita/Laura dynamic is my favorite part of the show. And this week really let that play out. With Anita doing small things to try to actively ease the tension between them (asking Sophie to allow her mother to tuck her in) while also being at the ready with totally reasonable answers for some of her odd behavior and sayings. Enough to make Laura question some of her own accusations.
