Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...
After four episodes, Humans is finally starting to gel a bit better. Leo meeting with both Mattie and George in this week's episode regarding the weird coding found inside Anita was a good way to help integrate these stories. Even better though was the fact that after Leo met with them, the tales sort of went back to being their separate entities. Though George's interest is now piqued. As is Laura's. And Hobb's too, now that the DNA results for Leo have come back to reveal a match for Synth pioneer David Elster.
And speaking of piqued interests, Joe got a bit frisky with Antia this week. The show doesn't have a lot of time to devote to some of the complex themes it raises regarding consent, rape, or physical intimacy between humans and Synths, but it's at least trying to cover the basic bases. Because "sentient Synths" aside, the best drama here involves how Synths, just being what they are, wind up driving wedges between people. Like technology in all forms tends to do. But here it's human sexuality that's specifically being screwed with.
