You are having wicking issues or it would not get the burnt taste.

Do you have a regulated mod you can run that RTA on until you can learn how to use that mech mod safely????

Running a mech mod without knowing what ohms you are firing at is SUPER SUPER DANGEROUS.

I am possibly the last person who should be giving advise on building, as I'm still learning a lot myself, but running a tank or any RBA on a mech mod without knowing what your ohm rating is, and without knowing ohm's law will - not can - will lead to you getting seriously hurt.

I know it is .3 ohm got the burning taste fixed just needed new cotton it's running on normal coils vape shop helped me out on that part. Now I just need help on finding out which coil setup I can use to Chuck more clouds the hades mech mod is around 60 watts anyone have any ideas on which coils would still fire and produce bigger clouds around the 50 watt range

OK, I don't want to sound like a complete ass, but until you know enough about ohm's law and mechs to understand what is wrong with that statement you have no business touching a mech.
The number of watts a mech puts out varies based on the build, and also based on how fully charged the battery is. What you need to do is use an Ohm's law calculator to figure out how many amps your mech is drawing with any particular build, and make sure your battery is capable of safely providing that number of amps.

For real. We're not being mean or arrogant.

0.3ohm doesn't tell me a lot. Give me the details like type of wire, number of wraps and ID of the coils. 0.3ohm made from 24g wire should be a great single battery mech build. 0.3ohm using Claptons will have a long ramp up time due to all the mass.

umm... they are giving you some good advice...

I'm curious though, how long have you been vaping? is this your first mod?

I ask because, before you start building, you should really get a good working knowledge of ohms law and how it relates to vaping.
your mech, unlike a regulated, is only going to push 60w depending on build. it can be far less or more based on the resistance of your build.
I would suggest that you get an inexpensive regulated mod, while you learn the ins and outs of building along with a working understanding of battery safety and ohms law.
nothing wrong with a mechanical, I have several and use them frequently; but, regulated devices can now push more power, more consistently; hence giving you more clouds bro.

Hi Nater! Welcome to the Vaping Underground forums! You're getting a lot of REALLY solid advice. Hate to say, but those guys in the vape shops are sometimes pretty new themselves, and have NO business giving out advice, let alone handing .3ohm mechs to total beginners... Nobody would be telling you this stuff, if they didn't care.

Do you mind telling us what BATTERY them guys sold you, for that build? There are only about a half dozen battery models in existence, that should be used in a setup like that, and I'm thinking I have about a 50/50 chance that the one they sold you, isn't ONE of em.. :)

Don't take advice personal, everybody has good reason to make sure you learn what's up, before you hurt yourself. Those news stories with people missing teeth are REALLY bad for our image, AND those peoples teeth.. ;)

Enjoy yourself here! You lucked out, found a GREAT place to learn!
