my mod is the alien. Granted I asked the question about batteries a few days ago. I'm going to order some better ones online. I know everyone favors different brands and i'm hoping to get some really good brand suggestions. The batteries I have in there now are 2500mAh, high drain, 35A and discharge current is 35A. They are IMR 18650 3.7V LI-MN. As I was looking online can I run 3000mAh or 3500mAh in my 220watt alien mod? Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the first question you need to ask is what wattage are you planning to run this at
because that will determine your amp need

if you are planning to run this over 150 watts at all times you need a 30 amp battery
if you are staying below 125 watts you can do a good 20 amp battery
in which case - lg hg2s are ok, thats what i use. and they are 3000mah, but reports are suggesting the sony 30Qs hold up better and are more accurately a 20 amp battery where as the lgs are 18-19 amps

Which would you recommend...
Sony VTC6 3000mAh
MXJO 3500mAh
LG brown HG2 3000mAh

out of those 3 the same as long as you are staying under 125 watts
But I keep getting told by some that I should give the 30Q a try because it seems to hold up better the the lg2

but i have about 8 sets of them i run all day long and vape at about 50 watts

Ok, well I think I'm going to follow the advice and order the HG2. Maybe even give the 30Q a try as well
