I stay at around 470 degrees but I'm waiting for a higher gauge wire to build something better.

I use a Kanger Subtank MIni, I found that if I use a reduced bore drip tip and and use the second setting for airflow. My flavors increase from the stock option. I still use the .5 coils but the there is definitely a difference in flavor

I think in the early months of temp people forgot to think about the heat coefficient. Thicker wire can take and maintain the temp range better. Were all twisting 30 and 28 but 26 is best for single coil.

With the 30g use a piece of kanthal to sandwich the connection. Trust me it will save the headaches of wire being cut from the screws. 30 is soft.

New guy here, with a few flavour chasing questions.

First I don't vape, but my wife does and she was very impressed with a dripper she tried at the local shop.
I have a Swordfish clone inbound, and have done a good bit of research on coil building. So I think I am ready to put together a simple single coil to get started.

In all the stuff I have read and watched I have never heard of using non-restance wire. Is that a Flavor thing?
Also, I was planning on a single @ 1 ohm, should I be looking at a sub-ohm build? Or should I wait untilI get the basics down?

My wife is using a Mini Bomber 30W box.

thanks

McG

if the wire is non-resistance then it won't produce heat, and you won't produce any vapor....there are a few atties like the GG attys that would rcommend using nonresistance legs on their coils.

Well that is what I was thinking. But as a new non vaper trying to learn this for my wife I was a bit confused.

Yes. The sub-ohm battery is rated down to .3 Ohms and will fire that resistance and upwards.

Thanks, I think I want to put together a complete set-up for my wife to drip with.
Less tank/atty changing.

Not sure why getting her a good flavour rig is so important to me, but it is...happy wife....happy life I guess.
