Here's the deal. Need some input for choosing an RTA for the GF. She was a little dismisive about vapeing, and it has taken a while to get to this point. I bought her a Cool Fire IV mod (she chose it because it was purple) and an Eleaf Melo tank.

It has taken a while, but she is finally vapeing more than smoking, and to my astonishment, has expressed an interest in a rebuildable tank. Well, its Christmas and all, and it is really difficult for me to choose one for her, because I keep finding myself trying to pick an atty that I would like, not perhaps what would be best for her.

She is not ready to part with her mod yet, so about 30-35 watts would be the max, and easy to build must be at the top of the list. I'm thinking single coil. Please, no suggestions of piffle poofer devices, she is not a cloud chaser, but it took nearly 2 months to convince her to open the air up on the Melo. Finally we are at the point where she is not fearfull of a decent amount of vapor.

Your suggestions are appreciated.

Kanger Subtank Mini.

With extra RBA heads.

They look daunting at first but they are super easy to build!

That's why you gotta buy her stuff first, then you can drop the surplus from your budget on yourself. Y'see, it's like the government - at the end of the year, you may realize that you didn't use up your entire budget, (in this case we're talking about one particular season) - so to avoid wasting away the opportunity to ... contribute the entire budget, you gotta spend it up. Well, the necessities are already bought (your case -GF, my case - wife and kids), so there's really only one sound way to go with the rest.

At least, that's the mental gymnastics I use to justify buying myself vape stuff for the holidays.

For what it's worth, I'd suggest the Kanger as well - that way, the option to rebuild is right there - but she may not exactly want to do that after giving it a shot, and this way you've got a decent tank with coils being sold every-freakin-where. It's not going to just sit there because she's too busy to tinker with the coil, you know?

Ooh, I got a couple of custom designed tanks for my subtank from http://www.phiniac.com/kanger-tech - check that out, they've got some designs you might find would work well for her, or yourself, or both of ya's. Just throwing a couple pennies at the conversation!

edit: You might also look at the Zephyrus v2 by UD - though it's got a bit more complicated deck, it can also use pre-built coils. Just popped into my head.

It wasn't directed at you, so... Disregard it? Take offence? Leave a helpfull comment?
I didnt think it was directed at me particularly, but I do take slight offense when I see West Virginia and inbreeding in the same sentence. I've lived here all my life and never once had relations with a relative and don't know anyone who has. We take quite a beating and its undeserved. I have all my teeth, wear shoes, and have a normal IQ. That's all I'm saying. If you're not from WV or never spent time here, you may not have an accurate picture. If you have, that comment is still not ok.

I'm not going to get too worked up, but I have to take up for my state.

My apologies to the great state of West Virginia for suggesting they are winning the war on inbreeding. Better?

I'm not sure. That's why I wanted to know exactly what the hell you meant. We are a great state, believe it or not. Wasn't sure if it was an insult or compliment. I'm still not sure. But I'm not going to spend a lot of time trying to figure that out.

As a Louisiana resident I say we give them competition
All I know of Louisiana is the little bit of New Orleans I got to see a couple years ago. WV and LA seem to be neck and neck in the worst of categories. But both are way more than what those lists would have you believe.

That guys profile was Canadian any way. Not WV. Thus my confusion.

Haha,
Anybody seen, 'swamp people?'
I live not 15 minutes away from Troy.
I love my state and my hometown. But I have a sense of humor about how we're seen.

Well, I love my state too, and have a sense of humor, but jokes wear a bit thin after awhile. Hell, a lot of people don't even know we're a separate state from Virginia, so kudos for knowing that at least. One Bad Wolf, I'm not fighting about this. I'm well aware that you were not attempting to insult me. It just seems like we're a national joke at times. I don't really want to further hijack this thread.

Again, for the record, WV is a beautiful state. I've been there. Gen Chuck Yeager, a personal hero of mine was born there, and I'm confident his parents were not related.

Thanks to all for the input! Comes down to the Serpent, and Subtank Mini. Off to the Vape shop, to see which they have in stock.

Ok. Back from the shop...... And the winner is........... Ms Columbia!!!!! Er.... my mistake.... And the winner is... The Eleaf Lemo2!!!!!

Side fill, easy as pie to build and wick single coil. Price was not too bad, And since it is MUCH shinyier than her Melo, and much prettier, I think she is more likely to build this one than cheat and use factory coils like the Subtank Mini. Looks like a really nie tank actually.... Maybe she won't like it...... lol.

And peace is had by all most many some... except Ms. Colombia. :p

Nice. I almost ordered a Melo a couple days ago. I'm not familiar with them though or the relationship between the Lemo/Melo and ended up just not get it. I think I was shopping Top & Top/Side fill tanks that I could rebuild and still use that feature... unlike my Crown.

:D
Lemo is a single coil rta with good airflow
Melo is a subohm tank that uses Atlantis/triton coils

Both have top-side fill and are made by eleaf/wismec/joyetech
