I NEED HELP!

So I've been using the Eleaf 30 watt with an Aspire Atlantis with a .6 coil. I usually vape around 22 watts (I just guessed a watt) but my coils keep getting burnt within a day. Is the wattage too low or too high?! I'm so sick and tired of going through all my coils like crazy and having barely any flavor! Please help!

Also, it gets really hot while I'm charging it, and when I use it frequently. Is that normal? Or is there something wrong with it? Thank you!

1. 22 watts should be well within the range of the Atlantis - do you know the PG/VG blend of your liquid? If it's too thick and you're hitting it repeatedly, it could be that the liquid isn't wicking fast enough and you're drying out your wicks and burning them.

2. I'd say your wattage is too high if you're burning wicks, but 22 watts shouldn't be too high.

3. Heat while chain-vaping could be the tank getting hot and transferring heat to the mod. Heat while charging is not a good thing, not at all. Are you using the charger it came with? If not, do you know what the power rating is on the charger you're using?

Crazy. I'm having same issues with my subtank rba. I did it 3 times. I can't go above 17 watts or I start getting burnt taste I built the tank 3 times and boom there goes the flavor. Can't figure out y. The prebuilt coils go after about a few days. Can't figure out y. I'm getting tired of it.

Have you tried the poke-it-with-some-wire trick on the pre-built coils? Game changer for me on the Subtank. As far as the RBA I still haven't used mine (went back to dripping and use my Arctic on the rare occasions I use tanks, but my wife hasn't touched anything else since I bought her a Subtank), but the older ones had insanely tiny liquid channels - would think I'd need to file them out considerably before even attempting to use them.

Just take a pin or a needle and poke it through the air flow holes in the side of a stock coil, just enough to break up the compressed cotton and let more juice in.

I can testify with high VG the pin trick works great on subtank stock coils. I can get 2 -3 weeks off one.

To the OP

if your getting a burned taste that is NORMALLY the wick not getting enough juice quick enough

We need to know your PG/VG ration to help with that

VG is thick and harder for wicks to soak up quickly. That may all the problem is. And regardless of what watts you way run int o that issue Of course lower watts will probably make it happen less often.

@MR. MAYHEM which rba deck do you have the original with no holes in the walls
or the v2 with hole sin the wall.
The v2 wicks much better the v1 needs modified, drill holes in the wall to match up with the wick.

Done with sub tank. Brand new coil out package. I'm getting leaking from air vents and from between air flow turn dial. I'm getting something else for my Kbox to run

I have both the RBA with the holes (V2) and without (V1)
I just picked up a SubBox Mini kit and it included the V2 type.
Maybe it's just a coincidence but, the V2 doesn't seem to wick as well as the V1 when I use it in my original Subtank Mini. I will have to do some swapping around and get back to you on this.
I modified the V1's by enlarging the juice channels in the deck with a Dremel and a small cut-off wheel. I would recommend this process as compared to the drilling of holes in the chimney. Just my $0.02.
