Hi people, this morning I received a package from china. After jumping about a bit as I though it was my super cool keyring torch (82 Lumens on a triple a, got some Eneloop Ni-cd's to use with it, benefit of my nitecore is it charges them, so I have already found two uses for that charger).

I opened the package excitedly, then realised it was a battery I bought as a joke for 99P as it was "6000" MAH, so thought it would be fun to have a "6000" mah battery(more likely to be 1400 and under).

I tested it out at 5 watts so not to put too much Amp strain on the battery, and it actually works. A 99P battery from China, that actually works.
Now, as I do not use mechanical mods and only device with a safety chip, would it be OK to use, or should I stay well away and keep it for my torch( Max amp draw about 3.2) or just relegate it to the shelf as just a joke.

My thinking is probably shelf, but there are a lot of battery experts on here, so thought I would ask first.

Probably an ICR, I'd pop it in the recycling bin so that thirstier it reaches its intended.destination. Might be a cell harvested from.a laptop battery. Definitely one to avoid.

Would make for an.interesting test graph if you know someone with the equipment.

Unfortunatetately I don't know anyone with the equipment, but it is CRAP. I tried it in a torch and it wasnt' very bright, my samsung 25R's make it blind demons.

Forgot to add, I will put it in the batttey recycling bank at the supermarket nextime I visit. I wont risk it, and it is absolute crap in the torch.

The seller even refunded me 50P, it was only 99P so in effect it was only 49 Pence with no shipping. I told them not to as if I am honest, the way the woman spoke to me made me feel for them. They apologised profusely, and offered a full refund or half refund, I said I did not want either(due to me feeling a bit sorry for them, they said their profit is not much) but they did refund half anyway.

So I have not lost much at all, I couldn't even buy a can of coke for that.

Good call. Yeah 6000mAh 18650 doesn't exist, especially for 99p
Lol I bought it more as a joke, the wrapping I thought was funny. If its just sitting there not doing anything, its not dangerous is it? As I find the claim quite funny TBH, and if its most likely to be safe just sitting there doing nothing, I will keep it but never use it.

If its dangerous just sitting there though, recycling 100%
