I want a "berry blast" type -- which berries?

Still figuring out typical flavor profiles. I want a typical berry blast type of juice.

Is strawberry, blueberry and raspberry, as a combination, a compatible and good-tasting combo?

What's in a typical generic "berries" liquid usually?

Typically, I believe it's strawberry, raspberry, blackberry. But FA forest fruit pretty much covers most of your berries.

2% in a mix, no more than 3-4% standalone. Who makes mad fruit? Can't remember...

Thats about what I figured, but ya never know !
I have started @ 2% with Cam Blend... that was two years ago, and I still have 9.5mls to go... lol !

Thanks guys. So would strawberry, blueberry and raspberry work for most people? ie is it generally considered good. I guess I can make a 5 ml bottle but i was just curious what the consensus is.

I don't think you'll pick up much blueberry when mixed with strawberry and raspberry. But of course that really depends on the brand of flavorings too. Blueberry isn't generally a strong flavor, perhaps blueberry wild would be stronger.

Hi guys,

Can I get feedback on this recipe? Its a general berry mix. After shake and vape, the flavor was a bit underwhelming as far as flavor intensity goes. Is it just hard to get good strong berry flavor? Did the tiny bit of ethyl maltol at .5% mute the flavor?

7% Blueberry (FW)
.5% Ethyl Maltol TPA (I used as a sweetener..is this right?)
.5% Liquid Amber (FA) (I used for a bit of tartness. what do you think?)
7% Raspberry (Sweet) (TPA)
7% Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)

70/30 vg/pg

Those percents are pretty damn high. The flavor is underwhelming?

Liquid amber isn't a tart flavor. It provides a rich, "baked" feel to fruits, more like pie filling.

of course i wwas using the site's drop-count , not volume or weight. i assume the drop amount they estimate is correct.

Some people use EM as a sweetener. I don't find it very sweet. It does round off high notes though, and that's probably the opposite of what you want in a mix with only the above flavors.

All three of those fruit flavorings can be really dull. Do you have any malic acid or tfa sour or citric acid? Any of those in very small quantities can help make fruits pop. If you have FA Mad Fruit or Oba-Oba those can help to "candify" a fruit flavor.

Have a look here and see if you find anything useful. There is a mixed berry recipe on that page that you can probably duplicate or come close to: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/2gkfuc/help_making_a_mixed_berry_flavor/

It might be that at 21% the flavor is muted. I've had that happen and seen lots of reports of it.

THANKS a ton. You are right...I need a true tart flavoring, not liquid amber, which I bought thinking it was a tart-type flavor. Ill check out that link also!
