Nothing is impossible~

This mod TC control with any kind of wire !

but it is not temp control, it is taste control. it is a mod able to protect all wires from dry hit.

Also it can monitor juice level and will flash a reminder to refill juice.

it won't burn any coil, it won't change the power output, it CAN taste control.

it have Ti mode, Ni mode, it have mode can fit all wires in the market.

we use Frequency conversion control instead of voltage control, more than 99% conversion of power that makes the batery much more durable.

what do your guys think about this

ijoy Asolo Specification?

iJOY Asolo: taste control & temp control

The major features are as below:

3. Special password function
provent perople under 18 from using the device.

4. E-liquid indicator
The indicator will flash 2times when the device doesn't have enought e-liquid.

5. Malfuction Alert on OLED screen and protection

First of all, Welcome to the Underground:D

And that looks like one hell of a mod!

It seem like it has all the bells and whistles plus a lot more.

Also looks like from the picture that it takes owner replaceable 18650 batteries?

I will be watching out for the reviews of this mod as it becomes available.

Any idea of how much it will cost?

Welcome. I'd be interested in finding out how that mod can regulate temperature using any type of wire. NI200 is the standard, Titanium next best.

It is a nice looking mod. What the price point?

it is a smart chip inside, special designed, not like other regulatre temperature control like Ni200 temp-control.
the chip company develop this items for almost one year, and they did test with all wire. it have a lot of data inside it, that makes it able to finding out all e-cigarette tank with difference wire.

Except if kanthal was a viable wire for temp control Evolv wouldn't have bothered using nickel in the first place.

It's the same kind of China marketing that brought us the "temp control" Smok M80, and we all know how that turned out.

This how Vapor Joe blogged the temp control.
How this is SUPPOSED to work is you set your wattage level and when it gets to your sweet spot - you set it into memory. Once there you can control the temperature in percentages. There is also dry coil indication - telling you when your wick needs more juice.

If what VJ said in his blog is true, and the temp conversion is accurate when you adjust power (a little AI employed)... so if you are centigrade savvy you can use % as temp. Think about it (hint: non contact thermometer).

i saw joes say this. and i agree with it.
it works very simple operate.
choose a best taste, then enter the temperature control mod. the taste will keep continually provide to user.
you don't need to worry if the tank is not enough e-juice, once you set up the temperature control mode, it will protect you from burn the coil.
it will remind you when the e-liquid is finish and you can fill the e-liquid on time.

i heard several customer say they love the taste of kanger subtank, but the coil is easy burn, if use mod, it won't have this problem.

Unless the composition of kanthal and/or nichrome has magically been changed, there is no breakthrough to be made.

Also what's the deal with the Chinese vendor spam?

you are smart you note the difference between Asolo and other temperature mod.
we are not trying to become difference, but engineer have his own idea.
it is not just for centigrade idea, he also add different temperature mode for the user to choose it. some people love standard temperature mode, then he can choose 100% F, if user love power plus mode, they can choose 101~110%. soft mode the user can refer to 80~90%.

for the e-liquid, best taste will be about 230℃, difference tank will have their own temperature.

even other temperature control mod have centigrade on it, i am not going to say if they are accurate or not, but we do it in different way, easy understand, and easy operate, also accurate control the temperature, and not make one coil burn.

The device could use AI and advanced curve fitting. Nothing new, just application of tech already available but now it can be done in a small package. Plus, there are circuits better applicable to sub-ohming that do not employ voltage control.

It isn't the coil that burns... it's the wick that burns when the coil gets hot because not enough air or juice is there to cool it below the temperature that the wick burns at.

The idea with Ni200 temp control was for Ni200 wire...why couldnt a different parameter be set for kanthal?....it heats up and reaches a temp based on wattage so why not something to regulate it further...Maybe it just lowers wattage of its too hot to burn a wick based on the amount of juice it can maybe sense it has on it.

Im eager to see how it works out myself..Not that i would spend 150 dollars for a mod but in time there will be used ones and price drops...Reviews and time will tell the whole story.

Grace, this is an interesting idea... set to preferred vape by taste and vapor then set to maintain that level. Very innovative, and if done right just might work. Just a question though, if I put in new dry cotton and press the fire button will the cotton burn? I imagine it would, but just wondering.

Because nickel has a very consistent and predictable resistance change in response to heat, while kanthal just...doesn't.

i know your concern, nickel and kanthal A1, they are totally difference.
So for a Nickel coil with a 0.2 Ohm coil at room temperature the resistance will be 0.41117 Ohm at 200 degrees Celsius, that's a large difference (0.21117 Ohms!) and reasonably easy to measure by the micro controller of the mod.

For Kanthal A1 with a 0.2 Ohm coil at room temperature the resistance will be 0.200036 Ohm at 200 degrees Celsius, a very small change (0.000036 Ohms!) and beyond the capabilities of the micro controller to measure accurately.

but Kanthal A1 taste better, that is why we need to make progress, test video coming soon.

Sounds like a good idea, but many people do not have kids around. You will waste time developing it and people will find a way to disable it, like many do with childproof lighters or bottles.

Get what you have out there and then add kiddieproof as an optional model, v.1.CP

Observations:
Childproof is just infant proof and adult proof.
Older kids look at it as a puzzle and defeat the protection.
Some adults struggle with childproof anything.
They can't even click a mod button 5 times to turn on/off.
It's just a 'feel good' thing, like we're saving the children. Bah.
I lost count of how many times I've seen a parent ask their young kid to open their pill bottles.
Or log them onto the computer.

Just sayin'.

I Want to see dry cotton burn test with kanthal & other wires, Please also send prototypes to reviewers for their input. Very interesting concept on temp control for kanthal, but I want proof please.
Just cause you write on the box it does Temp control on all wires doesn't mean it will actually do it. ( Smok Xpro M80 come's to mind )

Kidproof isn't a requirement please concentrate on making a solid device before adding extra feature's.
If you make the device user firmware upgradable you will make alot of customers happy.

Cool, sounds really nice. Can't wait to check out your video. The dry wick burn suggested above would be a good thing to show off and would probably generate a lot of interest in your device.

Maybe its just me.....

But why does everybody get so worked up on the "Cotton Burn Test" ?
If/When you smoked cigs, did you never light the wrong end of a filtered cig or burn it down to the filter.
What maybe once in a Blue Moon, or if you were really smart only once ?

I have never once, even by accident set my wick on fire ! ( Snide Remarks are a given here. ):p
I mean does it really happen enuff that we all must be saved from our cotton fires ?
Temp. Control I get, and one day I might even find it useful..... sound idea !
But judging whether your vape is gonna taste great by some pagan ritual test involving fire just seems odd to me.

Whats the next hurdle..... Will it light up a dark room..... jump start my Bike...... Wifi.....

I just want it to Vape !
:D

You can't expect to much out of a device like this. I have paint sprayers that have anti theft codes and I know for a fact that I could contact a paint shop tell them I bought in an estate sale or online and I am locked out and they will assist in me by giving me a range of codes to unlock and due to trial and error it will be opened and spraying paint in short order.

Obviously the paint sprayer would be reported stolen and is registered with the manufacturer so with my spray rigs the manufacturer would not assist with my serial #'s but with a mod different ball game and easier to open up. I would only see this code useful for small children on a mod and truthfully it is not a feature I want to have due to paranoia of glitches.

Despite the small change in resistance for the kanthal, the function mentioned about it detecting the amount of juice, i can see this working to a degree...without juice in the cotton the coil would be hotter than with it so the small change in heat can be regulated or detected just the same as with ni200...Drop power as the coil reaches past the temperature than it would normally be with plenty of juice in the wick.

What i like is the amp load it shows on the display..Most have to resort to the formula to determine the load on the battery at specific watts and ohms...nice to see this is built in.

a lot of people mistake the temp control is to see how it work on the dry cotton.
for asolo, dry cotton can't enter the temp control mod.
if the tank is support to be temp control, it will able to temp control. and continue offer best taste.
