Ijoy exo rta issue

I recently got an Ijoy Exo Rta in the mail. Amazing tank when it works. I first put the single coil deck in all worked great until I vaped like 20 min and BAM my alien mod says Ohms to low. So rip tank apart make sure I have nothing touching build deck is tight all screws tight. Put back together 2 vapes and bam get it again. Put in velocity deck and now getting the same. Any ideas if its my mod or is it my tank. Company i got it from says if everything is tight the sens back and get new one. But i wanna know for sure if its the tank or if its my mod. Any help greatly appreciated.

It is the alien, I have 2 exo and they work great-neither work on my alien but work fine on the g-priv and numerous other mods i have. Alien is POS in my opinion, also it is flaking paint (never leaves the house. Worst money i ever spent.

I have the g priv too and doesnt work on that either. Alien says the ohms to low and gpriv says to high. Even my 521 mini has wonky readings on. Fire it and coils are good check ohms and watch them climb. And ive read other issues of the black exo rta.

The tank's insulator may be fried, if it's not reading properly on multiple devices.

Other than the paint on my first first one, my 3 Aliens have all been solid. I regularly use a 0.105ohm build @85-100w on one of them, and it never fails to fire.

Vapor bar in ontario. But it was partially me too cause they said the would send another but with the ammount of other that hsd issues i just opted for a different model. Save me ass for hassle again.

So i sold my alien for a price i couldnt refuse. More then i paid. Bought a predator 228 and it works fine so far. Still doesnt work with my g priv. Gonna vape ot for a bit and if it stops work ill reply back. If it still works then ill reply back and update yas.

One current issue / problem with the EXO IJOY is a deficient electrical conductivity coming from the deck support (picture). This issue create a "No atomizer", or "Low atomizer", or the resistance value swing between 0 to Max Ohms.
It concerns (hopefully) ONLY THE BLACK tanks. It is logical as the black paint IS the issue. It creates an undesired insulation on the negative pole.
I got 2 of them, same problem. Using other Mods didn't change anything, nor playing with the mono-coil or dual-coil decks.
I finally solved the issue, re-creating the electrical connexion.
1- remove the paint on a inner corner of the deck support, by filing it (using a file, screw driver, .....) (picture: behind the tin point)
2- solder this section with tin. Make sure the grey ring is contacted also. (don't forget to file a little bit the grey ring, otherwise the tin will not stick on it)

It works perfectly now! :vino:

But if you can get your EXO replaced, replace it.... with a GREY EXO! :)

If so, No, no issues. Make sure the gold plated pin below the deck doesn't touch the tin, and everything is fine.
Strong filing before welding is important on this operation.

Hello everyone. I just received a black exo rta too and it won't read the resistance on any mod including a dna 250, smok alien, predator or an ipv8. Is there any other fix for this besides soldering it?. Any help would be appreciated.

It may work for some but I am really not interested in putting lead solder on the inside of any RTA or RDA.

is it a black one by chance? i heard about a bad batch of black ones but that was a month or so ago and has been fixed since. even though you won it ijoy should still warranty it

yeah their support is slow as balls. i'd say just keep trying. it took them over 2 months and probably 2 dozen emails before they shipped out my warranty RDTA box

Ijoy contacted me back and said they would send out a new one. They even asked me what colour I wanted. I asked for the SS version just to be on the safe side lol
i just got my replacement today. must have shipped a while ago since they just sent me the tracking like 2 days ago

I am emailing them again to see if i get any where.
There was no problem with them at all when I emailed. They asked for the security number, pic of the tank, when and where I got it and a video of the issue. I sent all that on to them and that was it sorted. Still didn't get a tracking number or anything like that though.

I got a Black Exo yesterday. I had to buy it from a guy online, in country. After the last one was seized, I figure I'd go this route. Well, I fired it up and an hour later it stopped working, just as stated above. I went to an electronics shop and they tested the base and said it was working, but it wasn't. Then, all of a sudden, it worked. I figure what the hell. I went home and it stopped again.

Well, last night I found this thread. I also went to the Ijoy site and sent a message. This morning they requested the info and a video. I sent it two hours ago. Then 10 minutes ago they replied saying they'll replace it and to give them my address. Have they outsourced their customer service to Germany?? I'm going to take the opportunity to get one more (I really love this tank) in addition to the replacement. Now I have to get them to explicitly state they'll ship it via courier so that I'll actually get it.

That's got to be some kind of record for a Chinese company. I'm happy, so far.

insulator, certainly not. Because the pb is an undesired insulation between the Base (black painted) ans the press-fitted SS ring (grey).
The deal is to RESTORE electrical connection between these 2 components.

I may have been a bit hasty in praising them.

I need to have it sent by courier, it's the only shot I have at getting it. However, I can't get them to commit to sending that way. I have offered to buy another one and I will pay for the courier costs. They just won't acknowledge it. The best I've got from them is, Send us your shipping info and we'll see what we can do.

I'm so tired of people who are barely competent or incompetent.

How much is this? It looks great, I can safely say for sure that it’s price is high, the price is much high than I thought, but if its general comments are good, I will think about it.

So it's been 2 months since I reported the problem to iJoy, sent them pictures and a video. They took my address and said they would send a replacement. I've been emailing them every week because it's the principle of it at this point. They keep saying it's been processed but to wait for a tracking number. No I see why people hate on the customer service from Chinese companies. This is fucking atrocious. They should at least say it's not covered to be replaced instead of constantly lying that it's been processed.

I feel your pain. I'm also trying to get a replacement from them. In my case, they agreed to replace within a day of initial contact. However, I asked repeatedly if they could send it via courier and that I would pay for the shipping costs. I also offered to buy another Exo. It took 5 emails to get them to explicitly acknowledge my request. They then said they'd send the request to management and to wait. That was 9 days ago. Must be another fucking holiday in China.
