Hello all,

I'm currently undergoing a over haul of my topper rotations and looking to add some RTA's. I really love my Herakles Plus but I'm sick of buying coils, even if it's only a pack or two every couple months. I picked up a Serpent Mini last week and so far I absolutely love it.

Today while browsing the VU classifieds I found a Tornado for $10 shipped and figured what the hell. I've since watched a bunch of videos, read reviews and aside from a few quirks, it seems like it could be decent. So, if anyone out there has / had the tornado I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

I like mine! So far I've only used the .30 ohm stock coil, haven't even rewicked it yet, or used the RBA but it's good, at 40 watts, nice thick clouds & flavor is pretty spot on. For $10 you can't go wrong.

Thanks for the feedback... So this thing takes replaceable coils as well? Don't know how I missed that during my research.

Oops sorry, I have the tornado nano. Not sure about the tornado.

Ah ok, I did read some stuff about the nano and tbh I wish that's what I was getting. I prefer small tanks and it's got a lot of interesting features .

The Tornado is a nice enough tank once it's built. Building it, otoh... use a toothpick to hold the deck in place instead of a he key, and you can press a screwdriver across the base and deck to get a read and pulse without assembling....

Yeah if I had known about the spinning deck I am have passed on it. However, if I like the tank, I'm not too worried about it.

I have them both, the original and the nano. I bought the original coz they said it can be vaped to 300 watts so I intended to use it on my Koopor Primus on my review. But let me tell you, it's a pain to build. Not only the deck swivel but when you want to dry fire it, you have to screw down the cover first which made it very hard to squeeze your coils. Plus it leaks like crazy, don't know if this was on my part though.
The Nano, I just got, haven't got time to play with it yet.

Don't get intimidated, learn how to build it and you'll probably like it. Shawn is already telling you some tricks that will make it easier on you. Have not seen one yet that is impossible to build. 99% of the time, when something is wrong ( leaking, dry hits) "human factor " is to blame. You got a good deal on that tank.

I like the Tornado, just dual coil fused SS, works great, no complaints. Is a bitch to build though, often times left out due to avoiding of the build lol.

Yeah, being a bitch to builds seems to be the common consensus. However, I'll use a set of coils for a loooong time before I change them out and already have a four system rotation going so I doubt the tornado will be seeing a lot of use.

Got it today and it's a beast. Wicking it was simple and I'm vaping it with 85/15 juice at 100w with no dry hits. Only thing I hate about it (other than the spinning deck) is the top cap thing. Other than that, I really like it.
