I am a new vaper! I got married 3 months ago and after our honeymoon told my wife I would quit smoking through the vaping process. She was pumped, but now i'm hooked!
I started out with the Volcano Inferno with 18mg nicotine pg juice. I was doing just fine, until I partied in Nashville at a bachelor party for a week. I lost the Inferno at one of the establishments there in a drunken stupor.
I bought a cheap pen device from a gas station to get me through the week.
When I got home I went back to the same vape shop I got the Inferno from. This time I knew I needed more.
I asked for something small that I didn't feel like I was sucking a golf ball through a garden hose.
They recommended the Kangertech EMOW.
I used this for about a month and felt like I needed more. (This was before I witnessed the huge vape community on the internet of everyone blowing these huge clouds.)
I went back to the vape shop and asked for an advanced beginner setup. They offered up the Eleaf Isick 50w and the Kangertech Subtank Mini w/ .5 ohm occ coils. (This was where I got hooked) I was blowing bigger clouds, but getting headaches using the same juice.
This is where I recognized how big the internet vaping community was.
After researching here are a few things I've learned:
1. The more powerful Istick forced me to lower my nicotine level.
2.It also allowed me to used a higher VG juice.
3.I learned that the Istick 50w was going to grenade and blow my face off.
(Well not really, but I read about the Istick autofire issues. As well as the mode changing issues)
The Istick hasn't blown my face off yet, or even auto fired, but the vv/vw mode does change once in a while.
It has actually worked quite well and even encouraged me to buy a RDA. I love tinkering around with this thing. It is the Troll by Wotofo.
Right now I have dual 6 wrap twisted 26 gauge Kanthal in it and I am loving it. It is running at .3 ohms.
I have a problem with seeing something new at the right price and buying it.
So far I have the Sparkle PMAG box mod, the Kangertech Subox, that Istick 50w and a Istick 40w TC on the way.
I also have 3 Subtank minis, the Troll and a Goliath RTA on the way.
I like the Subtank minis, but cannot get the RBA to work with out leaking. Also the Stainless one seems to burn the prebuilt coils twice as fast as the others, using the same juice!
The Troll really blows clouds and is easy to work with.
