I'm still a noob

Alright I know I probably messed on my part but I went an got a smaug mod 100w . Really didn't think about it or read any reviews on this thing most likely going to trash it soon . But in the mean time it isn't horrible I was just wondering what are the best batteries to use for said device the 18650 batteries that came with the mod won't really stay charged (threw USB charging) any pointers ?

Anytime! I hope to help out where I can. When I can't, I try to point people in the right direction, at least. You simply made the right choice in forums :) Wise man, you are.

Samsung 25R or LG HE2/HE4 are the preferred batteries these days. Also recommend getting a good standalone charger...

I would go for these just to be a little safer. There's not a lot of info about the chip that runs that device if you search for it on the web other than it's pretty much known for being a clone chipset and not actual Yihi. That being said, not knowing if the chip is running in series or parallel (and I am really not sure because there is another box mod with that chip that claims to do 100 watts on a single 18650 which is scary and even the best authentic Yihi chips use 2 batteries in series to accomplish this.) I would use 2 of the batteries linked above. They're 25 amp continuous drain instead of 20...little extra safety there if not getting some VTC 4s to be sure.

here is a link to the Yihi website and their product list all the way back to the VAMO chips...you won't find the "SX1000" on there.

If the device came out of China along with the batteries, the batteries are probably crap.
