Hello guys, I'm sure you get sick and tired of all the noobs asking for help but I'm desperate. So I've had a mutation x v4 for awhile now and I just don't use it Because I don't know how to build coils. I can wrap them completely fine but my problem is ohms. I'm using 28 gauge kanthal and I'm trying to get it around .5 ohms. I'm pretty sure that it would only be 3wraps but i don't really know. I spent all day yesterday building coils and they would come to about 1 ohm. I'm just curious how I should go about trying to wrap 28 gauge kanthal and get it to about .5 ohms. Thank you in advance

this may help , http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp . You can put in what type of wire you're using, the diameter is actually the gauge (28), what resistance you want to reach, the inside diameter of the coil you plan to build, the approximate length of your coil legs and the calculator will tell you how many wraps it should take. While you're on the site I'd suggest that you click the link near the bottom called How it works , there's some really great info there that will help you understand coil building. Good luck :)

Remember if you build a dual coil setup, your resistance gets halved. So those 1.0ohm coils aren't garbage!!
