Been playing around with my latest new toy – the Lotus LE80 – and really like it. I was shopping for a dual 18650 mech box mod, but saw this and went for it instead.
It has a dial potentiometer to change voltage from 3.3 to 6.0v. It has a three position switch: up to operate; middle to turn off; and bottom to show battery voltage. Spring loaded 510 with a 22mm cutout. So far everything I’ve tried on it fits flush.
Very trim and sleek for a dual battery box. It's the same width of a Sigeli 100w, but narrower. Very good fit and finish, although I’m not all that thrilled with the rubberized finish. It’s very non-slip, but if you have some juice on your fingers that gets on the mod, it hard to clean. I’m hoping I can find a wrap for it.
The battery door slides in a channel and is held in place with magnets. It has a BB style fire button that feels better than I expected it would. Nice, solid click to it, and the position is perfect for me.
No cutoff time for firing, but according to the specs it has reverse battery protection, short protection, over discharge protection and high temp protection (with the latter being that it cuts off if the innards reach too high of a temp. It’s not temp protection of the coil). Fires down to 0.2, according to spec. Haven’t tested that out to be sure, but can say that it’s firing a 0.3 coil just fine. Tested the output with a meter and it is putting out the voltage it says it’s putting out (unlike the Lotus Jellyfish).
For about $60 I’m pleased with the price/performance. Got it at Code3vapor (http://www.code3vapor.com/products/lotus-le80-mod) Code NEWCUSTOMER5 brings the shipped price to $60.29.
