IPV X2 Pure Tank

Hello all,

Has anyone tried this tank yet? For the looks of it, it seems to be an improvement on that failed POS the Altus tank in terms of build quality and possibly preformance. It can be used on anything with a manual TCR so there is no need to buy the IPV5 to make it work. Does anyone own one or plan on picking one up?

I ordered one last week to use with my ml class. Vapemail hasn't arrived yet. I am not sure, but I thought it was designed to be used with the SX pure mode available on some of the Yihi devices. I didn't realize it could be used on any mod with tcr.

I was tempted since I own a IPV5 but plan on waiting until there is more real world reviews.

Check out the comments from DJLSB in video, he gives a TCR and says it works fine...

I just got one. Quite frankly it's not for me and will probably be posted for sale tomorrow. The wicking is relatively easy but the tank is too power hungry for my tastes. The juices I vape tend to burn/lose flavor at high watts and that thing can take some power.

That's not good. I'm a bit skeptical of all these new "Coiless" and ceramic tanks coming out.

I have an IPV5 and love it, the X2 Pure though doesn't look good enough to replace any of my other tanks though.

Can't wait to get mine. I kinda regret not getting the blue one because everything I own, save my Subox, is black.

Well, so far I am not a happy camper. I can not get it to work. I cleaned it out and filled it with juice, set up my SX mini ml on SX pure, and tried to fire it. Nothing, got no atomizer warning. Took it off, lost a couple ml of juice, tightened the coil, refilled it and tried again. This time it leaked like crazy, juice coming out under the coil. Repeated taking apart, cleaned up, filled again. This time it read the resistance on the SX mini, really low about 0.06. Tried to fire, but got dry coil warning even though it is still filled with juice. Tried it on my istick 100 in watt mode and just get atomizer low warning. Not sure what to do next. Was thinking about taking apart again and changing the cotton. Any suggestions?

I wish I could help... Who did you get it from? Is it possible to send it back?

Well, I had a chance to play with it a little more last night. Tried it on my DNA 200 device and it worked in power mode. As I suspected the iStick 100w wouldn't do 0.05 ohm coil. Also worked on the mini ml in power mode, but still says dry coil in temp mode. That is what I was hoping to use it in (TC) since it was advertised as being the most accurate TC device in Pure mode. Will play a little more and interested to see if anyone has gotten it to work in TC.

The ml firmware isn't set up correctly. For the sx pure coil yet. Give it a few weeks

Smilinvapor, I had a similar issue with TC on the ipv5 in sx pure mode. I changed the wick out and it worked for a few hits then ihad to go to power mode. As @dre said I believe the firmware was probably rushed and needs some kinks worked out.

They are keeping that info under tight wraps. My guess would be ss317.

Good question. I wasn't sure what the TCR should be and that was one of the reasons I thought it may not be working in TC mode. I just ass sumed that it would be set correctly in the Pure mode. Hopefully they will have an update soon.

I picked up the IPV Pure X2 tank over Labor Day for $20 (Vape Royalty). I put it on my SX mini Q. It vaped nicely in SX Pure mode @ 55 watts. But that was too hot for me. So I put it on the shelf. It was OK, but I prefer to use my Kayfun 5 on the Q.

This morning I put it on my Vaporflask Stout (as a replacement for my Avacado 22mm). I am showing .06 ohms, and have the TCR mode set to Ti.
@30 watts / 400 F it gives me a nice vape (I am NOT a cloud chaser). I wanted to see if it could be used in "low power" mode.

BTW - I tried a manual TCR of .00088 as shown in the above video and could not get a hit... But it does work OK when set to Ti.

Ive been getting the best results from this tank with lower wattage like 35-40w and at higher temp, it is a hotter vape though and doesnt seem to have the cloud production I though it would. I have SX mini m class and it is up to date as well with firmware, still trying to get the hang of the room temperature compensation setting after you save coil resistance though(have that around 10 degrees C).

Hey guys, is there any info out there regarding the material this coil made of? couldn't find a single clue googling around it.
Seems a bit shady of SxMini to keep this (pretty crucial) info so tightly wrapped putting aside the financial exclusive aspect, user health is by far more important imo. i would love to give this thing a try on my sx q class but not sure it's up to the challenge with even a standard Clapton coil.

I LOVE this tank! I've vaped on many tanks, used many mods, coils, etc. Been vaping 4+ years, and I really think for their first release of this technology, they've really hit on something good!

I've put this tank through a solid 3 weeks of vigorous use, and I really love it! It cleans easily, wicks easily, fills easily, has TONS of flavor & provides great vapor, though I'm not cloud chasing, but I still get more than enough thick, rich tasting vapor!

If you are looking for a durable "coil", nice vapor, excellent flavor & an easy care tank, than give it an HONEST trial period.
Listen folks, I usually never care enough about my vaping to comment online to anything, so that I am posting at all should say something to you.
I will be looking forward to more advancment on this new coil tech from these guys. But I'm really that excited that I found something that won't need replaced, nor will I have to buy tons of coils for this tank all the time.

We live in a wasteful commercial society where things wear out or they break quickly so we toss them out to buy new. That a company actually made something that actually lasts, thinking more of their customer than their bottom line, is really brave on their part. I applaud that as much as I do how well this tank works for me.
GREAT JOB IPV!

Update on using this I got it to work better with less burning and leaking using extra cotton(1 1/2 strips of squares instead of just one). Best performance I got was by saving the resistance a couple points higher than it actually was, otherwise seems to read lower when the coils cold.
