IPV3 display reads "too hot"

My IPV3 suddenly read too hot vaping a 24g nichrome build at 8Ow..
The mod or Atty didn't feel hot, including the batts...could it be because I'm using nichrome instead of Kanthel in the Dark Horse?
What else could cause this? Thx ahead of time

take the batteries out and reinstall them and see if it does it again. could just be a hiccup with the mod.
