I recently bought 2 ipv 4 mods. The problem im having is one of them works great, the other tells me "check atomizor" "check battery" and when it does work, the ohms jump from a .1 to a .3 on the ohm reader. I can only vape it on 40 watts, where as the other one with the same build im vaping at 100w. Im new to regulated boxes as opposed to mechanical boxes s. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you got one "Bum" mod on your hands.

Get in touch with the place you got it from, tell them what the issue you are having is and swap it out for a new one in working condition.

Also, when i plug in a micro usb into both of the boxes, neither of them give any indication of charging. Any thoughts on this

I agree with RJ, it sounds like you got a dud with one of them. Contact your vendor and try to arrange replacement.

P4Y will announce when there is an update and will provide instructions. If you are active on the forums or FB you will know.

Says on their site to get a 9v 2A charger but have been told you can get a 9V 1A it will just charge slower. You can get them on amazon for about $13

So im guessing P4Y has the charger cords
You can buy one, as has been said. If you have a charger use it, and get one if you don't. I wouldn't use the charging port, and I think most here will agree. Good chargers are cheap, safer, and likely faster at charging. Plus you can have one set charged or charging with a fresh pair ready, so you have no downtime.

It seems from what I've read that the cable does work. I wouldn't trust it, though. More heat, and more work that you're asking of the mod with internal charging. I'd also say, wouldn't you rather throw away a $20 give or take charger, than a whole device.
