I've had the IPV4 for awhile now. At first it was great no issues at all! But then lately the resistance readings have been wayyyyy off. My dual coil 24g nichrome 6-7 wrap would read around .3ohms on my IPV4 it would read between .3-.6ohms!! that means it would vape fine for the first puff but the next you could be inhaling 7.5 volts =[..... Im not sure what the issue is..... I've read that the 510 could have gunk but i cleaned it....Also read that wires were shorting out so I opened and insulated whatever wires looked really exposed....none of these worked.

All I could really think could be the issue is the chip itself or the 120w Ti software update. When I purchased my IPV4 it was only capable of 100w, but then the software upgrade came out. The issues happened after the software update.

I have the black IPV4 if that makes any difference.

I've contacted the seller and P4Y all they suggests is for me to send it in....but I've already opened the device.

Would you recommend that I don't upgrade mine? I'm willing to do it in the name of science to see if I have the same issue.

Could be that either screw came loose, holding the coil's legs.
