The postponement of the openings of Ben Affleck's next two non-Batman films, Live By Night and The Accountant, could very well be due to the actor's pending DC movie obligations.
The assassin pic The Accountant, which was originally set to open January 29, 2016, will now open domestically October 7, 2016 instead. Affleck's next directorial effort, the period crime drama Live By Night, has been pushed from October 7, 2016 to an as yet to be determined date in 2017.
Variety links the release date push with the recent reports that Affleck may direct and star in The Batman, a solo movie he would co-write with DC's Geoff Johns.
