Is my KBox mini box toast?

So a few days ago my Kbox mini (The newer version you can get that is white and black) fell into a shallow glass of water. I pulled it out as soon as it fell and took the battery out and threw it in a bag of rice. after about a day I pulled it out and tried to fire it up again but it wouldn't work the battery was fully charged as I tested it out in another mod I have but do you guys think I tried to fire it up too soon and its gone forever?

I can't speak for that particular mod, but had an identical situation happen with a vv/vw before. I did the same, rice for days, left it alone. It did nothing but make me very sad. I tossed it in a drawer for whatever reason. About a month later, saw it, gave it a shot... it worked again. It doesn't hold charge long, but it works.

Only thing I can think of is popping it apart and giving the guts a good but gentle scrub with denatured alcohol.
