Is the leaking issue fixed for the TFV 8 coils?

I love my TFV 8 coils, however, I've been phasing them out of use and gone back to some of my older tanks that I know won't leak. I was getting really tired of getting TFV 8 coils that had the factory defect where one or more or the wires was sticking out around the base of the coil and causing it to leak. I found out how to "fix" the leak by tucking the coils back in or cutting them, but they would still leak. I would even get leaking from the bottom of the tank by the air flow holes where it seemed like juice would, for lack of a better word, condensate around the holes. I got so tired of my mod being covered in juice after 15 minutes of use that I have gone back to using my Kanger Sub Plus and Aspire Atlantis V2's. I love these tanks for the simple reason they don't leak at all, however, the air flow is very restricted and I could use a bit more.

I quit buying the TFV 8 coils because I was tired of having to fix them. I tried reaching out to Smok and never got a reply and that was 7 months ago. I would love to go back to using them, but I don't want to order any coils if I have to fix them. So I was wondering if anyone knew if this manufacturing issue had been fixed to where the wires don't stick out anymore OR if someone could recommend a tank that didn't leak and had good air flow.

I usually vape around 60-70W with 70VG juice. I prefer a cooler vape and am not looking to "chuck phat clouds", but rather I'd like a tank with great flavor production like the TFV 8 Quad coils.

If you do know of a vendor that has "fixed" Smok coils, please let me know. Thanks ahead of time for suggestions or info.

So at 60-70w, I assume you mean the TFV8 Baby Beast? Either way, I never had a problem with leaky coils. Q2, X4, and T8 in the Baby. T10 in the Cloud Beast. None were leakers.

I've ran about 8 coils through my Baby Beast and have yet to have a leaky coil, not even a leak one time in my tank. X4, Q2 or T8. I really suggest trying another vendor on coils if you are having issues like that. They might have skimped out and bought knock off and resold you never know. I feel confident enough when I buy a Smok coil I know it's gonna perform, not leak and last me 7 days on a ADV scenario.

My boyfriend had that leaky issue when he was using the cloud beast. He's since put that tank to the side.

If you are talking about the baby beast, I haven't had any problem with leaking with those coils either. I'll second maybe going with a different vendor for the coils if this is the case!

Neither my Tfv8, Baby or Big Baby Beast tanks have had leaking issues. Smok makes one of the few sub ohm tanks(coils) that DONT leak. My Uwell tanks do not leak either. (Se1, Crown V1,2 or 3).

my baby beast X4 leaks for no reason. Standing upright it will leak like a quarter tank of fluid out without provocation. Also its proving impossible to disassemble it and put the back up coil/atomizer in. Probably will replace with another brand tbh.

No problems here with the Baby or Cloud beast. That includes the RBA deck for ether. I feel for those that have leaks has to be annoying. I don't think I've ever had a tank teak that wasn't me doing something wrong.

Those tanks don't leak ! I've have like 10 of them between me and my son from TFV4 to TFV8 to Baby Beast and TFV12. If its leaking there's something not right. The coil has to have an O ring at the base and has to be threaded all the way down. Sometimes I've seen the threading or a piece of wire making it seem like it's down and it's not. Also most people don't realize on the threaded part of the chimney that the top of the coil screws on to there's supposed to be an O ring there. Sometimes you change a coil and it sticks to it and comes off and you end up throwing it out. They really are good tanks.

I had three TFV8's. Tried for a long time but every now and then without warning it pukes out large amounts of juice. Pissed me so bad that I threw them in the trash with the coils. Got the Crown III and have not turned back. .05 at 60w, 6 tanks a day and I am still on my first coil after two weeks. Night and day gents, Smok is the Walmart of vape hardware.

I agree completely that the Crown III is a wonderful tank. But I have been using my TFV8 for a while now and have never had it leak a drop. Oh well. I guess I got one of the good ones. haha

Ya know I wonder if the people with the leaking issues got tanks or coils that are clones ?

I have never been disappointed by SMOK. I have owned my TFV8 for over a month now, used the baby beast for two months before that. I have only had it leak once and it was my fault (I didn't realize I lost one of my O rings). I absolutely love my cloud beast!TFV8.jpg

I don't think your tank is tall enough for that mod. :giggle::giggle::giggle:

I don't use my SMOK tanks all that much, but they always worked well when I did. They were also good to learn how to build on.
