When using my woman´s Pico I get an odd flavor, a tinge of metal, I think. But when putting her tank, a Melo 3 on my Pico it taste good. Tried it with three different tanks on her mod and they all tastes odd. Switching back to my mod and the taste are good. Tried swapping batteries but the taste is the same using her mod.

Any ideas what is wrong with her mod?

I doubt it's the mod that is effecting the juice in the tank, too high a wattage will give some a burn't taste, but I don't see how a mod itself can effect the way a juice tastes other than that.

We are running the mods at the same wattage, using the same juices but still it tastes different switching mods.. Tried it with three different tanks and four people experience the same thing. We are running the tanks within the wattage limits..

Have you tried swapping the coil out of the tank? making sure the coil is screwed in tight and not arcing?

I've found that all mods are not exactly alike. Try turning down the wattage. I never look at the numbers. i just dial in the best taste ;)

Tried using different wattage on all three tanks, but it´s the same odd flavor using her mod regardless of what tank and wattage we use. Using the tanks on my mod tastes good..
The coils are screwed in firmly, we used new coils..

The only thing left, is that her mod is malfunctioning in some way.
Perhaps it's spiking full power intermittently (just not enough to notice that its getting hotter than yours at same indicated wattage ?)
it would be cool to check outputs with a meter, into an appropriate load, looking at fixed dc level and if any rapid changes (switching spikes etc).
I suppose it wouldnt be too hard to attach some probes to rba posts, but you would need a resistor that could run the wattage dry (ie, a large bodied 30w or such resistor). Plus a decent multimeter, of course.

Or.. if its not that.. possible that she's a witch and has cursed the mod somehow ?

When i run into a problem that's seems either intermittent or when all other things equal i can still discern a difference. I start troubleshooting using a process of elimination. Starting first with the easy stuff and continuing from there. Only trying one thing at a time so if a problem returns I know which step fixed it last time. That being said the first thing I would do is dip a q tip in isopropyl alcohol and run it inside the 510 and clean it out the best you can.let it dry and then try the melo on both. If that does not fix then since you tried different batts. try cleaning the battery contacts on her mod. Then the 510 on the tank.. Hopefully this might fix the problem if not you keep at it until you have exhausted your ideas or have come up to the level your abilities or equipment allow. Also double and triple check that both mods are setup exactly.the same. Minor differences. can cause.your problems.

Yes I think it´s some kind of metallic taste..
I ran across this a while back with a different tank but things I did to fix it was clean and check the seals if they are removable. if it is still present try upping her wattage just a tad at a time it could be that her mod is defective and even thou it is displaying a set wattage it could be under powering the coil or over. start lower and work up.

The seals are ok and her tank tastes good on my mod, and I´ve tried changing the wattage on her mod but it still tastes nasty

this may be a stupid question but is the coil a temp control coil .. nickle, Ti etc on a non TC setting

If you are using Temp Control are you using the M1, M2 or M3 settings? Are you locking the resistance at room temp on the coil? Also are the ohm readings the same on both mods when switching the tank between them? It's sometimes necessary to use a fairly higher resistance coil to get the Pico to ask if it's a new coil then switch back to get it to "forget" the last resistance locked. Otherwise it reverts to the last locked resistance which may not be correct for the coil being used.
