Is this normal for fasttech??

Placed an order on 11/23. Tracking says it passed through sort facility in NYC on 12/4. There's been nothing since, no updates at all. Is this normal? I know you have to wait a month or so for your stuff to be delivered but it seems odd for it to spend weeks in NYC.

I've never had that happen, but perhaps it's stuck in customs there? I almost always get my stuff in 10 days.

sits in ny for what seems like forever sometimes, no updates until it moves again. once it does you'll get it quickly

Christmas time is a nightmare if your waiting for a package that
has to past through customs control.

Currently have a package that's been stuck in customs for the
last two weeks. Shipped out next day and hit customs in less
than a week. Not Fasttech's fault.

I've had it happen like that before, and. I have a shipment sitting there right now. Last time it happened it showed nothing until it went out for delivery to my mailbox.

The packages I've had go through ISC Chicago have all gone through relatively quickly (between 1-3 days) and to the carrier, usually 1-2 days and it's delivered from Chi-town. The packages I've had go through ISC New York have all taken between 2-4 weeks to go through and get to the carrier, then another 3-4 days from NY.

This is why I only order things that I know I don't or won't need immediately from China.

I guess the worst part is that I'm about 6 hours from that package. SO close! Hmmmmm, I wonder if they'd let me just drive down and pick it up??. Ehhh, it's nothing I need right away anyway.

Agree with @Ramsay Bolton - it's not on FT, it's on USPS at this point. It seems some points of entry are better than others - I'm on the left coast and when stuff comes to San Francisco (350 miles from me) it's normally in and out in a few days. If I should be so unfortunate as to have it land in Los Angeles (a mere 100 miles away), it could sit in customs for 10 days or two weeks before it moves again...

Although it's not Fasttech I do have two packages coming from China and they hit the US in good time but have been locked up since then so it's just to be expected at this point so close to Xmas.

What's weird to me is that I have 4 FT packages in the air that left China anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks ago and they haven't even landed in the US...and I know better than to order batteries from overseas.

Me too. This is a first for me - and no batteries in my orders!

It's December. Obviously a bad time to have something on the way from China :)

Damn it, I ordered batteries from overseas. Not from FT, but Sourcemore. Guess I'm just going to have my patience tested.

That, and shipping is different than I'm used to - or at least tracking is. It seems one package went DHL and the other three i can't tell, I thought I selected USPS ePacket but tracking is directing me to some weird site I've never used before...

I have two on the way, and I can still use 'my usps' for both.

Are they sending you to 17track? That's the one they are sending me to.

Also I don't have batteries in my orders either.

17track, yes - this is some sort of bizarre wizardry with which I'm unfamiliar and rather unimpressed.

That just recently happened to me, tracking was seemingly stuck at "processed through sort facility in New York....." When something gets stateside, I usually have it in a couple/three days, but these stayed stuck for nearly two weeks. When it finally moved, it bypassed me in Tennessee and went to Florida, then came back up to me a couple days ago. Hadn't had that happen before, their orders are shipping like lightning here lately.

First FT order placed on Nov 28. Shipping "acceptance" was Dec 11.
Today: "We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece."

I am just so stunned with how cheap everything was. So as long as it gets here at some point, not caring.

I've always got something coming from them. Just order it and forget about it, keeps the mailbox full....ha! But no, you can't beat those prices. Have you priced the colored replacement tanks for TFV4s? I've got a set of seven coming, different colors, for less than five bucks. And got the same for my TFV4 mini in vape spoon glass for a little over $7. That's likely about what one piece would cost here.

Haven't priced any mods/tanks/related accessories. Just got coil-building stuff this time around. Sucks they don't carry boards (unless I overlooked them). That's my next project... and really need to get them cheap.

Not so sure about the boards myself, but I prefer not to buy mods from overseas. Too much of a hassle if they have to be returned.

Progress!!! It's here in town, should have it tomorrow. YAY!

Cool, something to look forward to. My last order from FT showed in NY for nearly a week. The day it delivered tracking still showed NY.

So 3 of my 4 packages just magically showed up today after no tracking info for more than two weeks - decided to check on the fourth and it finally shows up in tracking - landed in San Francisco two days ago, with luck I'll see it this week. Only bummer is one of the Subtank clones showed up with shattered glass and a couple of clip on lamps I ordered showed up with one being the wrong part shipped...their return process is no fun, but it's not like it's anything I needed to have right away, the wife gets a light for her nightstand and the Subtanks were just to PIF anyway, and right now I've only got two people that need them and four good ones ready to give away...

Should have asked this in my earlier post...

What online vendor can I check out for boards? I'll use the suggestion(s) to find related threads. Thanks.

I'd go for the gusto. DNA 200 board for $80 direct from Evolv. Of course I've not ordered one so not 100% sure they will sell to the public. Also I know they've had trouble keeping up with production due to the limited availability of the screens. If this is what you're looking for check them out here -http://www.evolvapor.com/dna200.php

I'll have a better idea soon. Something regulated, but cheaper to start. Passthrough/TC/presets not important. Don't want to ruin an $80 board because of a rookie mistake. Currently brushing up on soldering skills with junk boards. But yeah, I'll keep that link for future reference.

Went back to FT's website twice today, convinced that I simply missed a link to boards. Nope.

My stuff was delivered today!! Weird, yesterday it was still in NYC, this morning there was all kinds of tracking activity, and then it's in the mailbox! Certainly can't beat the prices, and I knew it would take a while. Hmmmm, what can I order next

For me the only thing typical about a Fasttech order is the certainty of inconsistency. I order and forget about it... Sometimes stuff shows up in a week, sometimes a month, its like a double blind lottery drawing where i know i won but I dont know the cost of a ticket...
