I received one about a month ago and liked how it vapes well enough to get a second one, which came in today's mail. While cleaning and setting it up. I noticed that the airflow screw was catching a little when I was removing it. I'm having an issue with the airflow on it; the draw is far tighter than my first one and when I cover up the airhole and take a dry pull, there is no change in the airflow/suction occurring. It's as if I'm not covering the airflow hole at all! The only difference in how I built this one is that my coil is slightly higher off the deck. Should I chalk this up to user error or the unit itself?

Sounds like an obstruction. Might want to have a go at cleaning it some more. You could pull the center pin and using a small enough drill bit insert it into the air hole on the side and seeing if it slides freely so that you can see it looking down the center pin bore. Check the center pin itself for obstruction as well. I have heard of the pin insulator blocking the air passage on some kayfuns in general.

When I received the 2 kayfun clones I ordered, I took them apart, check for any defects, remove all screws, clean thoroughly and reassemble. After doing this, I did not put the airflow screw in either one and took a hit to check airflow. One had the airflow I was used to on my other kayfuns, but the other one seemed to be blocked. Took it apart, cleaned again, but still a tight draw. After checking the airflow hole I realized there was a second screw in it. One of the kayfuns had two airflow screws in it, I took it out and the draw was perfect.

Thank you both so much! After following Lefty's advice, pulling the center pin and taking out the whole post, I put a drill bit in the air hole, looked down the positive pin opening and saw...nothing but the pin opening. Like toughguitar's, mine had two airflow screws in it. I feel a little silly now, but really, who expects two airflow screws in place?!

I was ready to get the drill out to get some airflow, but noticed the blockage in the screw hole. I don't use the airflow screw in any of my kayfuns, if anyone needs extras I have a bunch.

Well, it's totally rebuilt and working as I expected it to. There are two extra airflow screws in the parts baggie, so I doubt I'd need more. Again, thanks for the help.

Glad you found it. Two screws is a new one on me.
