My Nemesis (Clone) has a small problem. Been using it for year and now the bottom piece is screwing in way to far and not leaving button room

Looks like there may be a little crud on the threads - try stripping the thing down and cleaning it really well, that could be partially related to your hot button issue. How's the spring look, or have you converted to magnets?

^^^^^Exactly^^^^^ Your spring might be compressed. If the switch and battery are getting hot, your switch is joule heating, or shorting due to something (dirt, compressed spring, et cetera)

If this is still a problem after you try a new spring, try getting the magnet replacement for the button. It will help with voltage drop and also help in the button getting hot because the spring will not be there for a resistance point.
